    I don't see too many people mention this, but I truly appreciate how honest Masaru is about his sauce. He outright tells you when his shoyu doesn't work as well as other shoyu, or when the food taste so bad that not even his sauce can save it, when he could've easily just fake his reaction and say that his sauce works on everything

    The lobster/crayfish is commonly known as a Southern Rock Lobster (Jasus edwardsii). They are one of the two species you can catch in New Zealand, but also occur along the far southern coast of Australia. It's one of the best tasting spiny rock lobsters out there. Definitely the best in Australia. In Hong Kong, they fetch the highest price tag by a fair margin.

    The spiny rock lobster you caught is called Crayfish here in New Zealand. Absolutely delicious - I personally think it is the best lobster in the world. Glad you are enjoying your trip here in Aotearoa!

    @@OomegaLuL maybe to Americans, but here it's called crayfish. We don't call anything lobster. Instead fresh water crayfish are called yabbies or koura here.

    それだけ栄養も溶存酸素量も多い豊かな海って事なのかもしれませんが、確かにこの荒波と視界遮る微細な泡は怖いですね しかしイセエビは日本の物を遥かに超えて美味く、マーブルフィッシュは頑張って臭い消した調理でも美味しくも不味くもない感じですか・・・今回の獲物は対照的でしたね

    傭兵の仕事をされてる方はカレー粉をとても大事にされるそうです。 なぜなら食料は現地調達で、サルや蛇など臭いの強いものも食べなければならないから。 臭いがきついものもカレー粉塗せばイケル!だそうですよ。 マーブルフィッシュももしかしたら・・・

    Masaru: in Japan there’s no strict fishing laws. Also Masaru: you can be in jail for up to 3 years if you catch a spiny lobster
