    They already lost their language. There was a ban on speaking maori in schools few decades ago. I’m no maori but an old maori friend told me. They even lost their ancient indigenous religion

    @@muzammilzammil5727 A part of India in ancient times was called Bharat, from the Aryan king of the nomadic central Asian steppes who came to modern day India and became the new Indians with their culture and language (that eventually became Sanskrit). The British eventually unified the kingdoms under one umbrella by force and it was known by the name India (which is actually a derivation from Indus, an Aryan word for the regional river in modern day Pakistan now and through history became India)

    Maori signed a treaty in New Zealand 1840. They were never conquered by the Crown. Sometimes parliament needs to be reminded of that. It's a partnership, after all.
