Wow that was 6 years ago, I still remember watching this, I thought Florida State was dead in the water. It was a good game indeed.

One of the reasons Auburn dominated FSU in the first 3 quarters was because one of Auburn's assistants used to work for Jimbo. He knew his playbook and knew what hand signals Jimbo used to dial in plays from the sideline. Was looking for this comment. It boils down to poor sportsmanship on the Auburn staff to steal signals to get the edge, but FSU should've changed their signals when they were playing against a team with former coaches on it. Without those stolen signals, this would've likely been a blowout, but we'll never know. #GoNoles It was an amazing game either way.

I was at Florida State that year. All of those Saturdays for a great time to be alive, good feelings all around. I remember the night of this game very well. I was on edge for the entire game. My dad actually called it that Kelvin Benjamin would catch the game-winning pass, even after he had dropped so many crucial passes before.

My parents and I all graduated from FSU and this team was one of its’ best ever. We had gone undefeated and were ranked #1 team in the nation wire to wire in the 1999 season and that team was phenomenal. The Clemson game from this season was probably my favorite game (besides this one obviously) because of just how much we dominated. You should look up some clips from that game-it was amazing! Go Noles!

After Levonte “Kermit” Whitfield scored the kick return touchdown (shown @ 14:22), they showed replay footage of Jimbo Fisher running along the sideline watching.

Sucks FSU isn’t doing well rn. Hope they can be a top 10 team again soon.

As a fsu fan, it was a great game from both teams. I'm just glad you guys beat Alabama.

Obviously this reaction is a year old, but it's new to me, and I just wanted to share that when Florida State's coach was still at LSU many years back, his wife was my English teacher about 15-20 minutes outside of Auburn, Alabama. I was in 8th grade at the time, so around 1999.

FSU fan here. When Whitfield returned the Kickoff for a TD I ran outside and started yelling lol. It was 0 degrees out with a foot of snow lol. Not joking. I live in Illinois.

I remember I was going through so much. Entering the real world. A long term breakup. Totaled my first car. Very down point of my early life in my early twenties. This moment cheered me up so hard. After years of being a team that was good but not good enough for the big one to finally win it and as the last BCS champions. Such a great moment all around

I realize that this is old but it is worth noting. Auburn during the game figured out the play calls signs for FSU. At halftime, FSU had to change their signs so Auburn wasn't prepared for their plays beforehand. Still a crazy game

Yeah I remember seeing Winston run to the sidelines yelling that Auburn was stealing signs. Soon as FSU started covering up their signs the whole game changed.

The 2016 Alabama vs Clemson national championship game was phenomenal as well all out shootout

The reason you see a lot of these college national championship games look sloppy is because they play about a month after the season is over (the conference championship is played like the first Saturday in December) The teams practice but they don't play an actual game for over a month and it usually ends up they play a little sloppy to begin with. Especially before the playoff system we use now (this was actually the last BCS championship if i'm not mistaken, the playoff system was implemented the following year) As an Auburn fan this was hard to watch but we played a good game anyways. War Eagle!

Auburn fan here..GREAT game, only my 4th or 5th time watching this one..lol I still say the most BACKBREAKING play was on FSU'S final drive when Winston threw that little five yard slant pass and we had TWO guys MISS the tackle and the guy ran about 50 or 60 yards to our 20 yard line..that's when i knew it was just meant for them to win!! Wow. .GREAT GAME though...#😷WDE✌⚓

Oh wow. I went to the Film School at Florida State, which oddly is located in the football stadium, just to the right of the main entrance. Often when leaving class we'd have to walk through the Seminoles as they were coming to or from their practice field. This sends me back. Me and my NYC classmates watched this at a bar in Williamsburg, Brooklyn and were in pain the whole time. But that last touchdown is the 2nd most crazy public reaction I've ever been a part of, 2nd only to Manchester City beating QPR for the Premier League title. But both times a lot of people got a lot of bruises from jumping around and hugging people too hard. PS: The Florida State kicker was Roberto Aguayo, a rare Mexican player, and he's officially the best college kicker of all time. In the NFL draft, Jameis Winston (our QB) was picked in the first round by a Florida team, and Roberto was picked in the third round (which is crazy for a kicker) by the same team. Shockingly, Roberto was a legitimately bad kicker in the NFL, and I don't think he plays anymore. Jameis Winston just got replaced by Tom Brady, even though it looks like he's about to hit his stride. He took a big pay cut to go to New Orleans and learn from a Hall of Fame QB and a team with a better culture. Cheers :)

I have been afforded state fan since 1986 I remember this game like it was yesterday the game didn't go off till 10 o'clock night and I like woke up half of my neighbourhood when I was screaming so loud when Florida state won

JIMBOS ADORABLE?!? he is... but theres some coaches out there like Roy Williams and Ed Odgeron that have movie stories. Guys that grew up rooting for the teams they coach. Beautiful community strength. Not quite army navy but all love.

There are 130 teams in division 1 or FBS (football bowl series) divided into 11 conferences. Only the top 4 ranked teams play in the playoffs while other top teams play in traditional bowl games ( consolation games) . A combination of a teams record, strength of there schedule (opponents) and a committee of experts voting is how teams get ranked. All teams ranked in the "Top 25" get national recognition through out the yr as teams move up & down and in & out of the "Top 25 rankings " After Division 1 (FBS)college FB you have D1AA or FCS (Football championship series) . Then D2, D3 and community College FB. Each level of CFB has their own National championship game .

That was the final BCS championship game. FSU is the forever and all time BCS National Champoions.

Not to mention the same guy who ran the kick 6 back is the one who was penalized in the end zone and gave up the game-winning catch on that last drive.

I highly recommend watching the Florida State vs. Florida Game of 2022.

Basically the coaches figured out Craig was stealing our calls (which I couldn’t figure out how they didn’t know, since he had been on our staff), once they did and course corrected, the game went differently

If there was a championship game that you should react to, there is none better that the 2006 Rose Bowl with USC vs Texas. It's considered one of the greatest football games of all time. There are videos that go through the history of that game because of how iconic it was.

Hey Courtney great reaction to the video. My school was one of the best in our state of Missouri for many years with a lot of undefeated seasons and was nationally ranked by USA Today many times. I had forgotten how exciting the fourth quarter of this game was. I think one of the reasons that this game is considered "underrated" is because neither team was expected to be national championship contenders going into the season and NOBODY predicted Florida State would go undefeated. This matchup was not necessarily a "sexy" one to the American media, especially with two-time defending national champion Alabama not even making it to the championship game. This was the last game played by the old "BCS" (Bowl Championship Series) system, which pitted the top-two teams in the country by the national polls. A lot of people (including myself) hated that system, and it was finally replaced by an actual playoff system the next season.

How do they drop so many passes? Have your fiance throw you some light passes. The ball is harder to catch than you think. The football is tight and hard when inflated. It is difficult to catch without all of the pads, and the pressure of another person attempting to flatten you.
