It's ok there's a occupancy law for every building and space in nyc .fdny do regular inspections especially on a building like the edge that's a iconic tourist hub.

There is no way I would be out on that balcony it reminds me of that time the Dance Floor collapsed and killed a bunch of people at that wedding

I heard people were complaining about the helicopters blocking the view of the eclipse, so I hope those aerial shots were worth it

I was in a field in Central Park all alone with my dog. That was pure bliss..

To Tom ZZ, It's open air. In an underground movie house, this would be different.

Nyc buildings inspection enforcement is on point with such iconic tourist hubs .no one wants that fine or imagine the lawsuit ..so the property is thoroughly checked. NYC STAND STRONG.

Lol. We sat in my daughters back yard in a teeny tiny town i central Indiana and saw the same sun as these folks scrambling for rooftops....but ours was 100% TOTAL eclipse. It was pretty amazing.

This reminds me of 2012 movie scene where lots of people were crowded together like this and a terrible solar flare happen and fried everyone. I saw the solar eclipse in a pretty empty museum courtyard, it literally passed the sun within a couple mins. i acknowledged it and went on my business.

Just an excuse to get drunk in the middle of the day
