For those who are only seeing the highlights and didn't see the full game, Reese was emphatically calling for the ball on the last seconds on the game, was given the ball and then four Liberty players surrounded her and blocked her from getting her from padding her stats to get the double double and keep the streak alive. The second weaker attempt (which was shown in these highlights) was the second attempt that she basically had already given up on. So for those people saying her teammates are tired of the streak, they're not. They passed her the ball inside when the shotclock was off. It was the Liberty who were tired of her stat padding and shut her down.

Nope, AR is shooting at best 40% & that’s including shots from 5 feet or less. If the voting was WNBA agenda free and purely based on earned stats and not manufactured ones, AR wouldn’t be in the running. Also since Reese's streak started, the Sky is 6-10 while the Fever with Clark is 9-6. Clark's game translates more to the outcome of the game than Reese's. And straight up, Reese does care about winning and her team but she cares more about herself and her brand. When you are shooting that poorly, get the ball to someone who is scoring.

Fever earned that win cc had a triple double

The SKY won the most important game to end the halfway point. Their Game against the Atlanta Dream. Nobody really expected the Sky to beat the Liberty nor the ACES. We hoped that they would. Big Difference. So it really doesn't matter how you keep that 8th seed playoff spot as long as the Sky get in. Tanking for a Draft Pick won't help the Sky since Dallas can switch picks if the Sky first round pick is better. So all the CC fans screaming to the high Heavens won't change that. So the SKY and everyone else near the last playoffs spots will soon have almost 30 days to work on improving their weakness. There is no Shame in losing to the BEST team in the League. Nor to the ACES. However after the 30 day BREAK for the Olympics, we need to see some improvements.

I agree, it think it would be great investment. I know they have lost money every year but this year they are getting sold out arenas and high ratings. CC AND Reese is money. Hype will continue to grow once Paige get drafted next year and JuJu a few years after that. All these comments about AR. Not even about the winning team, or insight on what the Sky( team) should work on. A lot of you are so obvious/blatant and quite frankly weird. Hating a complete stranger who has done nothing to you is weirdo behavior. It's clear you people don't like basketball or enjoy the games. It's currently about 143 comments on this post and I've only seen two talking about the Liberty and giving them their props. The Liberty played well, especially without two of their starters. The Liberty deserved the win!! The Sky turnover and long wayward passes were an issue. Shot selection under/around the basket needs to improve ASAP. The Refs were a huge issue in this game. A complaint should absolutely be filed against them. The Sky coaching staff need to pivot more and the sitting of certain players in the last 4 games has been quite perplexing. I would love to see AR, LA, Michaela, KC, and Chen in a lineup for the next game. Their speed, size, and ability to start and keep momentum together is nice. I think that would be a good lineup against Aja, KP, Jackie, Kiya, and AC.

You can see in the highlights once Reese had her 10 rebounds she was trying to break out early to get an outlet pass to make sure she got her points, what a sad site, only cares about herself had 5 fouls early then played 0 defense, in the NBA you'd be sitting with 5 fouls (WNBA is 6). Great frontrunner.... Glad the Liberty stopped that last feeble attempt to get her 10 points.

All the Sky needs is a pure shooter and a more dynamic Forward like M Billings or someone. Preferably a forward who can stretch the defense while on offense. A N.Howard of sorts.

Watching Angel Reese games is like watching grass grow. She shoots most of her shots below the rim but her FG percentage is only 40.2% which suggests that most of her rebounds are off of her own misses. Can’t deny her efforts and hustle though.

Even Reese’s own teammate felt some shame at the end there. Farcical and embarrassing for people gassing her up. Sabrina is the f*cking truth though.

Reese had the whole team on her at the end😂, now she knows what Caitlin Clark goes through every play💯💯

She is great at rebounding, it takes will and grnd to do. She is at the bottom end of her offensive potential at the moment. In a year or two Angel will be 22p 10reb player.

When i first saw angel reese stats why her dd streak ended, i was confuse. Why is the pints is the low one? Because she's not really a good offensive player. Even in her dd she's proud of, she only has a minimum 10 pts or 11 pts sometimes when she's lucky it is a little bit higher by 3 pts. So im really confuse about the hype in her dd. Whats really impressive in dd is aja Wilson's stat. 20+ pts and 19 rebs with 5 blocks. I mean really? DD 10 and 10 with no block is good and historic? At Least add a block for god sake if your a paint only player.

My thoughts exactly. What is so great about a 10/10 double-double when a player is playing 38 minutes a game? If a player only plays 15-18 minutes a game, THEN that would be impressive.

Angel Reese actually started to walk away at the end of the game because she knew that shw wasn't going to get the ball. That action shows that she only cares about one person and one person only. She will never win a chip with that attitude. Not ever. As a matter of fact, the only reason why she won in college was because her program was that good. Thats it.

@@Redridge07 Kamilla really doesn't have great skill or moves aroundthe basket, never did in college either - she's just been able to be very tall in college. She has the athletic ability and coordination to develop great posts shots though ... I'm not sure about Reese, she's very awkward and has pretty terrible form she'd need to fix.

Refs were unacceptable this game. Same ref that wrongfully ejected Angel was present today so really I wasn’t surprised. Just a lot of petty calls and ghost calls. Carter 4 fouls in like 1 quarter? Yeahhhh this game is what it is. Angel got 16 rebounds and went hard as always. And I’m not mad at 3-13! Should’ve been like 3/9 cause at least 4 of those shots were uncalled fouls.

As much fun as it was, it is best that the.bogus streak ended. Apparently the refs thought so too. Those who have proclaimed the ROTY election over, however, are forgetting the season is not over and neither is opportunity to forget about trying to set unimportant records and just play ball. Many players go through ups and downs in a season and Reese was scoring more points before the DD streak began. DDs, streaks, and records should occur through the natutal course of the game and not be a goal unto themselves.

These ppl hate for AR is deeper than what most ppl realize. The game was over with... give your team mate one last opportunity to keep the historic feat alive. The ball handler just looked at AR then looked her off. Hater move in my opinion. Ppl talking about stat padding like CC isn't on the Fever snatching opportunities away from her team mates to make roty. AR couldn't have been Stat padding otherwise she would have that double double. Granted she messed her own streak up missing all those shot opportunities.
