Gloriously punky version of the Dolls' classic album track from 'Too Much Too Soon', released 1974. Turn this one up all the way..

I was in the audience having the time of my life and imagining the world knowing about this groundbreakingly energetic band someday - never in my wildest dreams thinking the performance itself would one day be seen in people's homes all over the world via youtube. Life is much stranger than dreams!

Estas muy ruca...De la época del medievo o de las CAVERNAS. Demasiada vieja para rockanrolear pero demasiada joven para morir... ¡Nos vemos en el infierno!.

This is a great, energetic performance, especially by Sylvain Sylvain and Johnny Thunders. You might also like this kzread.info/dash/bejne/jGGemriqmcSeYrQ.html

I was in kindergarten and learning about music. Louder and faster was a great path. Awesome journey so far.

That guy farted! That's why KidsaPlanet's comment from years ago was not totally fucking retarded! Some jack off said something on the internet! It was funny, and not in the least little bit retarded!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Freaky stuff. Johnny Ramone liked this band a lot and drew inspiration from them.

Wow
On 8/3/73, The Dolls Opened for Mott the Hoople @ the Felt Forum, NYC. It was a REAL BIG Deal for all there NY Friends. Wolfman Jack and Todd Rundgren Intro them to the Fans. Many Celebs were there as well. I sat in Row # 2 to catch the Whole Deal. PS: Mott w/ Mick Ralphs still in the Band Were GREAT!!!

Have spent (literally) decades thinking the NY Dolls sucked; And only now seeing a video that makes me want to take a second look. If I can find a few more performances like this, (unlike the mountains of their later embarrassing stuff), I might reconsider my stupid opinion.

Missing link between Glam and Punk.
Wondering on what camera this was recorded on? Obviously some kind of cassette.

Saw them at Bimbos in San Francisco. Arthur Kane had a broken wrist and some local was playing bass ... terribly

That bass player was very likely Peter Jordan. He was a Dolls roadie and filled in for Arthur. He was also their full time bassist, post April, '75. But if the bass player was playing "terribly", that wouldn't be Peter.
Great son. blast of energy. Lousy backup vocals on the chorus though.
My band played there never understood there bag of noise......One of the band members had a relationship with management....sucked RIPGeri
