New York Doctor Spots Cancer on Woman During HGTV Appearance

Nicole McGuiness dreamed about buying a house on the beach. To make her house hunting even more exciting, she appeared on the HGTV show ‘Beach Front Bargain Hunt.’ She was celebrating successful treatment for brain cancer by buying a beach house in South Carolina. But when Dr. Erich Voigt was watching the show at his home on Long Island, he saw a small but noticeable lump on her throat. He used social media to track down Nicole, and, sure enough, she was diagnosed with thyroid cancer. #InsideEdition

I had a shocking, "You saved my life" moment around the year 2000. I lost my leg when I was 3 years old and graduated high school in 1988. I moved out of my home town about that time, but I was stilling living in the same county in the year 2000 when I was 30. I was in my old home town when I got behind a woman who also had a fake leg. I wasn't going to say anything, but she turned around and asked if I had gone to that school in 1987 and 1988. I said I had and she said, "Wow, you literally saved my life." As far as I knew I'd never met this woman. I'm pretty sure I would have known if another amputee was at my school. But then she wasn't an amputee when she was in high school. She was a couple of years behind my in school, so we didn't have any classes together, but as I sometimes had to attend classes without my leg she had seen me around and she had been impressed with how well I got around. When she was 19 she was in a bad car accident and woke up in the hospital her leg was already gone. At first she was utterly devastated, but then she remember me, and how well I got around. She said then she knew she would be okay. It blows my mind to think that I could have had such an effect on someone I'd never even met.

IMO there’s no way you can go through all that school just for $$$ when theres many different options that could bring even more cash. Doctors need to be passionate about their career. Lize-Marie Swart I have leukaemia and have had it since I was twelve(I’m thirteen now, and I won’t finish treatment until I’m fourteen) and the doctors said that they usually find it within a month(for my type of cancer) but they reckon I had it for about three months. They also said that I should of been bedridden and of collapsed. But on the same day I was diagnosed, I rode my bike to school and sat through 6 hours of school. In that time, I lost 8lbs. I went to see 3 doctors, and only one of them notice that there was a high possibility of cancer. Her exact words were ‘it could be anything, but we really can’t rule out the “C” word (she didn’t want to say cancer in front of me)’. I didn’t expect cancer till a week before I went to the doctors for the second time and eight days before I went for the third time. I looked up my symptoms on WebMD, it said I had liver cancer(not exactly) but I dismissed it for the account of it not being accurate most of the time. Then my older sister(who had been learning about cancers at school) said she thought I had pancreatic cancer a couple days before I was diagnosed. (Once again, not correct on the pancreatic part).

@@deepu3006 no buddy... There was reputed Hospital in my town (Apollo group of hospitals), once they got a patient who was near to death... They asked his family to pay for surgery... during surgery the patient died, and doctors didn't even bothered to tell anyone, they said "surgery was failure" and they will need to re operate the patient (even if he was already dead).... They asked family to pay for next surgery and took money twice... After 3 days they informed that guy is dead now.. But with further investigation by family (also they sued doctor and hospital) they got to know that he was dead for 3 days and they operated on a dead body. Now hospital has been closed by court and chief doctor is in prison
