I was born in 1955 and I lived in El Barrio del Harlem. I have been living in Washington, D.C. for nearly 50 years. The Latinos in D.C. are mostly Salvadorans/Central Americans. Their culture is totally different from Puerto Ricans. I truly wish we had a Puerto Rican Day Parade in Washington, D.C. because I miss being around Puerto Ricans. If you're Black or Afro Boricua and speak Spanish to these ignorant racist Salvadorans in Washington, they look at you as if you're from another planet. My father was from Santurce and my mother was from Carolina in Puerto Rico. Soy Nuyorican. Thank you for making this video in 4K because it looks great on my Samsung 4K monitor.

Puerto Ricans have all the right to have a parade if they want. The island pays billions of dollars to the federal government annually. IRS- October 2017 Residents of the territory of Puerto Rico are not only American citizens, they pay federal taxes. The island paid $73.7 billion to the Federal government in taxes during the years 1990-2010. In years 2009 through 2013 Puerto Rico paid higher FICA and personal taxes than the states of Vermont and Wyoming. In 2009, the island paid more personal federal income taxes than the states of Vermont, Wyoming, Montana, North and South Dakota. More than armed forces abroad and all the other territories. In 2009 Puerto Rico paid $3.742 billions to the USA Treasury, It paid more than the states of Vermont, and almost the same as Wyoming, Montana, North Dakota, more than militants in the Air Force and all the other territories.

Also, Puerto Ricans or anyone with Puerto Rican blood in them should be looking out for Puerto Rican people and those with Puerto Rican blood in them. If South Koreans and other countries do such for their own, why not Puerto Ricans for their own at the same time aiding those who want to work with Puerto Ricans.

I am Boricua, so that you know it! It is important to mention that, from the 9 million Boricuas worldwide, 6 million live away from Boriken. That is clearly an aberration! And from the 3 million Boricuas that have refused to abandon our homeland, half of them live in poverty! Why? Puerto Rico has been a United States (US) colony for the past 125 years. Since there is no US free press, most people are unaware that the US is committing a crime against humanity by refusing to comply with 41 United Nations (UN) resolutions asking her to immediately return Puerto Rico’s sovereignty to the Puerto Ricans. This month, the UN will once again hold its annual Puerto Rico decolonization hearing, and issue yet another resolution asking for the same thing. The US, instead, encourages Boricuas to engage in confusing and antagonistic plebiscites to supposedly find out what we want. Boricuas already know that we want our sovereignty, so that we could decide for ourselves our own future. All these crimes happen, because the US is not a democracy. 38 million Americans live in poverty today, while 8 of the 10 richest men in the world are US citizens. The world regards the US as the biggest threat to peace. How could a real democracy be a threat to peace? The US threatens peace and commits crimes because she is a plutocracy!

No me digas? National Data and the Winner is…Dominicans Top the Welfare Dependency League Table (again)! For decades!

@@mindy2215 first of all your talking alot of shit. There's millions of Puerto Ricans that are on Public assistance. The 🇺🇸 gringos don't give a shit about PR. If that was the case they would of made PR a state. It's a small island who knows if PR can stand on its own. True you do have some Dominicans that are on Public assistance but you also have Dominicans that work hard to. 🇺🇸 occupied 🇩🇴 but 🇩🇴 got them out they rather own there country

*I used to be from New York, and it was pretty cool. But, in all honesty, I don't like the Spanish culture, and so on, because of one thing. None of it, promotes Jesus and, painfully focused more on acting like tough hot shots, because they were raised in the streets or around bad company, and proceed to be a wannabe, rather they are a nationalist or some person that has nothing better to do with themselves. I, thank Jesus for getting me away from that.*
