The guys over at Traxxas are super greedy. Instead of putting in the same lame electronics, they should release a roller. If you already have an Xmaxx, why spend another 1k? Lastly, for the price, they need a solid warranty like Arrma. Sending in old electronics for a PRICE isn't a good deal. They just recycle the parts. We need something new, something big. I agree, I finally bought a roller that you can find on ebay so I can add all of my electronics. I didn't want to use the traxxas batteries and charger either.

I never understand these comments. If you don't like an rc's electronics, just sell them. It's easy. Quit complaining about no rollers when they can be found if you actually look.

The best RC wrenching videos on KZread. Im very interested to see what else you have planned if anything. I can't think of anything else i could do to my Xmaxx. I have the RPM ESC mount and it's a quality part for under 10 dollars, the ESC is rock solid in there. I still have the stock Battery trays, and I dont like them that much. I can't find a decent vid on how to mod these trays. I have a load of spare parts, and i installed the upgraded heavy-duty gears (part 7792) and Proline Badlands. I do love this RC even though i can't stand traxxas, however, Im very fortunate and blessed to own one, a lot of people cant afford an Xmaxx. , this platform is not worth 1K, 800.00 at best IMO.

Nice truck, i wish i bought a brand new X-Maxx but i couldn't pass up a great trade even if it costed a little bit to make what i want. But now i'm really liking my truck it now has a Max 6 G1 V3, a Radiolink RC8X radio system, Proline MX43 and 16\54 gearing i like it so far. Someday plan to buy either a Hot Racing or WFO motor mount and put in an 1,100KV 5687 hobbywing motor.

I love my M2C top plate and sliding motor mount, i can bolt my esc on top of the plate for easy access in the four pre drilled holes. But ofcourse this looks good to! :) the weather is horrible here tho, waiting till weather gets a bit better. Dont want to revise or replace bearings after each run

EARL….as far as the stock servo is concerned,,,,what I did install the metal gears into the stock servo,,,works great..TRAXXAS has those gears,,,saved me from ordering the upgraded servo,,,GO XMAXX,,,my favorite by a long shot,,🇺🇸👈🚘

Hello Earl. Great video as always, have you ever tried the overdrive gearing kit for the Xmaxx or XRT? I installed one on my Xmaxx and it's pretty awesome. Part #7886 if you wanna try it out. And I'm pretty sure you will love it.

I may have to try the max 6, I've never changed electronics in a Xmaxx or XRT yet, Can't believe Xmaxx doesn't come with roof skid, I'm so curious about the Bluetooth module we have bought a few XMAXX's in our group last couple months and no Bluetooth module in any of them....and a painted Xmaxx body by itself comes with I roof skid sometimes we wonder what Traxxas is doing, but they are my favorite 💯 great vid big help!!!

Hey earl the max 6 v2 has more power than the factory esc. Because I was told that the max5 v2 would be better on the factory brushless motor

Big Ups on Ur Rig! What temperature gun do U use? Ur thoughts on that new Arrma 8s Kraton EXB its a RTR and running it all stock in the grass/dirt and street? Thanks

Motor great esc work but has no air control the bigger esc add the wheel speed needed for better air control 👌

Well usually I run my new rc’s until something brakes. Never do upgrades before it’s necessary

They would make more money with rollers that's like a car dealership give the hardworking customers what they want especially 1/5 scales

Max 6 or castle monster 8s. Best mod you can do for the xmaxx

Over time I find plastic wear down and to overhaul the whole rc is not cost effective if you factor in selling an xmaxx used to the cost of a complete new Rc I’d say bashing super hard is about 5 years then replace but if you run it normally it will last a lifetime 👌

thanks for answering my question. ill keep that in mind. was having issues with stiping gears out on the regular. I put mod 1.5 and new cush and bearing ect. seems to be ok for now. maybe time for a new rig next year. thanks again

So I can adjust the punch settings and brake settings as traxxas doesn’t have much adjustment if you use the link set up

Still the best basher out there despite what the Arrma fan boys say. Been watching some vids on the V2 8s Kraton and Outcast and everyone of them has had at least one if not multiple part failures on the first bash but in true fan boy fashion they all say it’s the best RC out there 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Any1 that says Arrma makenthe best anything is deluded! Arrma cheap out on production costs and do zero R+D and lie about scale! But the fan boyz do love them

While you're at the hobby shop pick yourself up a new servo or two

I don't think everyone can afford to void warranties left and right
