Thanks it was fun!
id love to put these in my truck but my speaker size i can fit is 4 inch so that suck these are definitely great speakers
Nice better than factory speakers 🏭
Installed these today in my 2007 Honda Civic. Paired them with the NVX VAD11005 Amp. They sound great but the tweeters are too deep. I had to cut my stock tweeter grills to inset the tweeters and the speaker lip still sits slightly above the grill. Wicked pisser. The woofer housing was a bit wide as well, so I had to modify my adapter. Just beware that these speakers are large for what they are. You get what you pay for I guess?
The resonant frequency of the 6.5" driver is 39hz, to hear them perform even better, set the high-pass filter to 40hz. This REALLY cleans things up!
@jacobrzeszewski6527

Wouldn't that be a low pass filter? Because your filtering out a lower frequency.
@steveschwartz9421

@@jacobrzeszewski6527 A low-pass filter is a filter that passes signals with a frequency lower than a selected cutoff frequency. My suggestion here is to pass "high" frequencies at a given point, ( 40Hz @24db - 80hz @12db). Think of it this way, low pass means which low frequencies you want to pass on to the speakers, high means the higher frequencies you want to pass on, etc. The frequencies that are "passed" are what denote the filter type, not which frequencies are filtered. Even a subsonic filter is technically a high pass filter as it allows frequencies above a subsonic level to pass. Used in conjunction with a low pass filter is called a band pass filter as it denotes a "band" of frequencies passed that are higher and lower than a designated frequency point.

Where are this made ?

6.5" is Brazil and I believe they get the materials from China. The tweeters are made in Germany.
Thinking about replacing gto609c set with these.

I thought the gto's are supposed to be real good.....what did you find lacking? Did you find something better yet?
@hitmanbuc

@stephenwhite5444 it's weird they started off sounding amazing then one day they just lost all mid bass. I've seen others post about this I want to say the woofers have some type of compacitors that maybe go bad. The tweeters from day one didn't impress me at all.
How long before Ruckus vids are posted!? 👀 😁😁😁

Question, sorry to ask.. like this set is amp runny on full power or high-pass filter setting?

Used the amp filters to ensure midrange doesn’t go full volume below 60hz
Waiting for them to make a 3way

@julesbruchez-theartofgrapp9646 Yea I don't like how they put the positive and negative on opposite sides from each other. In my experience factory wiring will not accommodate that distance?
100rms rating... What is that supposed to mean? Will the speakers be destroyed if they receive 101rms? Or maybe 102? 103 maybe? What about 200rms? What will happen to the speakers then?
@JacobViral
Жыл бұрын
It’s just a rating of power the speakers were designed to be optimal and handle.
@Ernestom5
Жыл бұрын
@@JacobViralThank you for your answer! However, does it happen that you also know if this rating is with or without crossover? @ which frequency? @ which THD%? For how long? @ which atmosphere temperature? @ which humidity?

Research clean power wattage, zero distortion and you can probably go over 100 but if you are new to this stick with 100 clean power.
@runnergo1398
Жыл бұрын
@@Covencraft I usually just get an amp that pushes higher RMS than what the speakers are rated for then I don't have to turn up the gain too much and the amp stays cooler.
@Ry-lx2kl
Жыл бұрын
I prefer to always be at least double RMS. When you drive an amp past it's abilities lots of distortion is created. This takes the form of a square wave that destroys tweeters and makes the speakers sound bad. Most of the time when people think it's the speakers giving out, it's actually the amp. If you're only pushing half of what and amp is designed to do, you're also ensuring longevity of the amp and that you won't overwork the power supply.
You can’t tell what woofers sound like just sitting on a table.

`Unless you use a decent microphone, the "sound test" becomes useless if you use you're cell phone to record the sound. Just fyi. Even the cheapest $20 micrphone would sound better than you cell phone by far!
Did they pay you for this review? You have to disclose. I only want honest reviews and NVX is notorious for paying for reviews. I don't want to watch an ad. Just tell us.
Why do people test speakers like this? at least put them in a baffle, this shows you nothing.
Why would you use a 26hz bass track through a midbass speaker. We typically cross them over around 80hz. So anything under that is a little useless. Run them as their intended to be used bro. Use some common fucking sense….
could have done without the 15 minutes of screwing wires in
