thank you for the great video! do you have any plans to release a catch basin that works with 3" ADS triple wall hdpe pipe? The nds 6" spee-d basins have a 3.5 hole opening making the fit sloppy

Robert I get how excited you are for this product. I think it's going to be a big seller and the product does make a lot of sense. Do you really need to post 8 videos and shorts about it? It's a bit excessive.

Thank you for commenting and contributing. People have many questions about the products we have released. In 2023 by December we will have a record year of 13 new yard drainage products. Nobody but French Drain Man has ever done that before. We believe it's worth taking the time to teach and educate the diyer and contractor. Appreciate you.

Thanks for all the videos. I’ve been checking out your products and videos for months, just placed a big order last week and have the install pending. I’m connecting 4 downspouts with your products and am having trouble deciding where I should place the catch basin. It makes me nervous drilling holes in any part of this system which will run 100+ feet from the back of my home (3 downspouts), along the side, into the front yard (1 downspout), then past a 90 foot spruce tree to the street/property edge. I get we don’t want water sitting in the catch basin, but letting it out the bottom of the belly straight into the ground around my home sounds like trouble, and drilling holes/having taped connections so close to a massive tree also seems problematic. Trenching will all be done by hand with great care for this tree’s roots. A big reason I ordered the 4”x100ft high octane pipe! Thanks in advance for your thoughts.

I like the catch basin close to the vented clean out. I will do a video tomorrow for you. Also drill small holes so during the rain you are not losing much water.

First, thanks to your amazing videos, I know more about moving water around my property than the pros do. Like all the others who comment here, I'm super, super grateful you're into making all the videos. Here's a question I haven't been able to learn from your vids (maybe I missed it, though), how do you get your long trenches sloped correctly? Also, if I have a large rise relative to the run, I'm assuming it's just fine to run the pipe at a steeper angle? I have to run 100' feet of drainage pipe under uneven ground, and I'm having trouble visualizing how I'm going to get the trench at a sloping angle the whole way especially as it gets deeper toward the end.

Wondering why you line with fabric and dont backfill these corrugated pipes with rock like all the other french drain videos? Wont dirt plug up the corrugated pipe and get into catch basin? Thanks

This is NOT a french drain. This is a Underground Buried Downspout System.

can you drill holes in the bottom so it doesn't hold water? Maybe even under the basin put a couple inches of rock so it drains well?

Then you may get root intrusion..this is pretty much a closed system until the end where the water will spill out where he said, "Keep it dirt height," not turf height???? Make sense???

If there is small amount of rain, won't all the rain leach out of the catch basin and not get to pop up emmiter? You wouldn't want this near the house correct?

I like it three feet off the house. The type of water you’re talking about won’t be a problem. You can just drill very small holes in the catch basin, or no holes at all-your choice.

What about build up of shingle granules??? They are going to clog somewhere in less you do the catch basin and your pvc▪︎▪︎▪︎▪︎▪︎

@@rich4860 build up? Yeah maybe in a basin but clog? Lol no. Besides you can pull the lid on a basin to clean it but you aren’t going to pull up the corrugated to clean it out when it inevitably clogs

Okay, but, you’re barely putting the drain a foot deep. You’re not leaving any room for the 57 stone backfill which prevents soil clogging up the holes on the corrugated pipe. Another mistake with not putting the drain deeper is if the homeowner has a commercial landscaping company providing maintenance then their mowers are going to crush the pipe with the weight of the mowers over time. Oh and, your trench is very level. There’s no pitch to allow water to flow. It’s just going to sit in the pipe. The entire area surrounding that drain will be soaking wet and not mow-able after a heavy rain. Good invention, horrible installation. You say you’re the leading drain installer but watching this installation proved that was a lie.

Just more garbage corrugated pipe, worst product ever invented by man certainly not something I would ever use in a French drain or rain conductor situation. I always tell people, when it's something very difficult and or expensive to replace go the extra mile and do it 100% right.
