Thought piece regarding Salman Rushdie.... This is what my fellow Muslims should do when someone insults our great Nabi (SAW)? I believe that when someone insults our Nabi (SAW) it is nothing but a test from Allah'tala. Allah is testing us to ensure we maintain our composure, our restraint, our patience, our tolerance against those who degrade the image of our beloved Prophet (SAW). Whenever we detect an insult, we should approach those who have no respect for our Nabi (SAW) and embrace them with compassion and humility. We must do this to show how amazing Islam is - in that we persevere in the face of hate and criticism. We must love and respect those who hate our Prophet. These are the teachings. When these evil people see what Muslims are, and what Islam teaches they will immediately abandon their own belief and accept Islam. Our beautiful deen will grow faster than ever before. Alhmadulliah. Allah will be pleased as we've passed the test and we will all enter Jannah inshAllah. What is happening now is a failed test. After every insult our Muslim brothers and sisters go on a witch hunt against those who insult, with assaults, killings, bombings, stabbings, death threats, violence, anarchy and general mayhem. Even those who silently support these radical Muslims are failing the test. Those who were thinking of embracing Islam will now turn their backs on the greatest religion of Peace because of these extremists. This makes Allah'tala very angry and you will bring his curse upon you. Once you fail the test there is no coming back. Jahanam is your final resting place.

Everyone needs to hear this! Thank you Mufti Menk. May Allah grant you and your family paradise! I just want to add my experience to help guide others. When I read my daily prayers sometimes I feel very lazy to start.... but when I put my head on the ground I feel so close to Allah and it feels so good! It’s like a reset, my mood is better, I’m relaxed. I can think properly. The daily prayers is so important especially when we all carry so much stress and we have so many distractions and our phones show us bad news 24/7 from the media. I Pray because it brings me closer to god, I don’t just pray because I have to. Ps alcohol is disgusting. I use to drink when I was young and stupid, not anymore. Waste of money, waste of time, waste of life. I will never get back the time I lost from bad decisions or from hangovers. I will never get back the family time I missed because I didn’t feel good next day. May Allah forgive me. May Allah keep the muslims away from intoxicants. We don’t need it to have a good time, or to de stress. We just need Allah. I am a Muslim!

@@MilitantAntiAtheism no, Allah never prays to anyone, i think you mean the prostration of creation for the Adam PBUH, Allah had commanded angles and satan to prostrate for Adam PBUH since Allah has created something which is superior to them and that will worship him, and satan didn't prostrate bcoz he said that he is more powerful and high ranked than Adam even tho he wasn't, and that's why satan became arrogant and started being the enemy of Allah and children of Adam And man it doesn't say anything like Allah prayes to someone. May Allah guide you

Allhamdulillah, I am a Muslim and I am grateful to know Allah. May Allah grant us the opportunity to live and die as Muslim. Whenever I come across someone who is not Muslim and does not know Allah, I immediately say to myself:" What a meaningless life that they have." What is the point of having so much money and power in this world without knowing about Islam and how merciful and forgiving Allah is? I am a Muslim because there is no other religion to believe in but Islam. Islam explains perfectly how Allah is forgiving and merciful. You will not find all those beautiful attributes of Allah in any other books. Also, some people have this idea that they will be free if they do not believe in religion. (And of course, here I'm talking about the religion Islam) They think that there are so many rules in Islam that they have to follow and that's just too much for them. Therefore, they choose not to believe. Well, Islam actually helps us organize the way we live our lives. It does not restrict our freedom at all! You know what? Even though I have been Muslim since I was born, I sometimes feel so scared. The reason why I am scared is because I know that heart is something that turns and what if my heart turns one day and I stop believing in Allah? Euzubillah! May Allah protect me and all the Muslims from Shaitan and his tricks. Ameen! In addition, there are times when I feel that the difficulties that I'm having in life are just too much and that I should give up. In those moments, I try to motivate myself to be more patient and keep praying and asking Allah for forgiveness. And whenever I do so, I begin to feel calmer and I do know that Allah still loves me and does not want me to give up. We know that he is the most forgiving. Subhanallah. Alhamdulillah! Well, I know that I am not perfect and I make mistakes just like everyone else does in life; however, I believe that Allah will protect me and love me as long as I remember him and worship him. Ya Allah! I ask you for forgiveness and to have mercy on me and all the other Muslims in the world. We do not have anyone or anything to rely on but you. If you do not help us, who else can? Without you, we are nothing. Do not leave us to ourselves, even for one second. Ameen!

اللهم إني أسألك الفردوس الأعلى من الجنة Allaahumma innee as-alukal Firdausal a'laa minal jannah. "O Allah, I ask You to grant me the highest rank (Jannatul Firdaus) in Paradise." (Al-Bukhari) Ameen !!!

This is a very good question. I' m a Muslim because I was created by Allah (my maker) and I want to satisfy Him, that's why I submitted my self to Him totally. Allah says in the noble Qur'an "O you who believe! Enter into Islam totally.................... " From this verse it is obvious that a Muslim is someone who submits himself totally to the commandments of Allah and not associate partner with Him. Praise be to Allah that counted me amongst those He has guided. الحمد لله على نعمة الإسلام وكف بها نعمة.
