You should put an LQ4 into the Z if you want. 6.0L iron block from early 2000s silverados and suburbans. Should be able to find some in a junkyard. Probably much more reliable than a VQ and easy to find parts for.

Evan, I love you, but your Z problems have nothing to do with it being a VQ35, or a DE. It had to have been built incorrectly in some way. VQ's are very reliable and fairly bulletproof when NA. So if you're having problems with a built NA VQ, something didn't get done right.

evan do a k24 bottom end from a tsx with a k20a2 head. its gonna rev high while having bottom end torque. u wont miss the torque from the vq with that setup and its strong enough to take good boost

You can fit 18x9.5 +12 in the front and 18x10.5 +22 in the rear with a roll and a little camber.
