yes wider rears. the welds are the 2nd best wheel for the 69 Camaro. i think the stock rallys that were on it look best.

Please re-install the stock wheels with larger/wider BFG tires.

Also agree , I do think classic Crager SS or Torque Thrust with white letter BFGs would have looked WAY better, more period correct look!

Hi Nick! I'm old school. We always run 14 inch wheels up front and 15x10 inch wheels in the back. As far as tires for the rear I recommend 295/50/15s. They are 28 inch's high and alot wider then the tires you have on now. Go to a tire store to look at them and I'm sure you will like them and want the on the spot.

Eh... I like the rallys better. You can get them in a nice custom offset too. These may grow on me.

Hell yeah man! I have a 76 cutlass s 442, bought it with the factory ralleys with 235s all the way around, swapped to 8" front American racing outlaws and 10" wide rears American outlaws with 225s on front and 275s on rear. If you would of ran 10s on back your tires would of been 11.6 wide and 27.8 tall. Looks good reguardless.

Go with a wider tire in the rear IMO. If you don’t think it will tuck in nicely go to a larger backspacing on the rear wheels. If you have 4.5” backspacing go to a 5.5”.

Love the car, but the original wheels look better imho. Cool you got some time off, well deserved!

Love the car man, I really do. The fat tires tho- not my cup of tea. To me they are too tall and look out of place for that car. Just my opinion tho- love your content and hope to have one of those myself someday!

Like them. Wider in the back would look good but not necessary. Good to see you back posting videos. My first car was a 81z28 bought it in 83 got rid of it in early 90s. Should be getting my first Camaro since that car soon. Ordered it in December been sitting in Lansing since it was built in March. Just got word it moved to New Boston hoping it will make its way to Selkirk NY soon

I have always loved the Torque Thrusts or the factory Rallye wheels because I am not a big fan of chrome. My first truck came with a set of Rallye wheels and a set of chrome wheels and I could never get the rust off the chrome for more than a week.

Nope. Oh well, at least I can be happy for the cool guy that buys the Rallys. HIS car will look good at least. Probably will be someone who bought a hack-job with Welds on it. Man, this was a nice car, too. RIP, to yet another original looking '69 SS Camaro. 😥

I had welds like that on my 68 camaro with 15x10 rims with the mickey thompson et street radial pro p275/60R15. I ran a mickey thompson 26x10 slick that set the car off to me but loved how big and meaty the 275s looked on it. Cant remeber the back spacing on the rims.

I like the Weld wheels, look hardcore, but I'd keep hold of the original steel wheels just because they're the original factory rims.

Looks good. I like the stock rims but it still Looks nice.

Rookie mistake on owning a classic car. Front wheels should always be slightly smaller Hahahaha live and learn

I love rally wheels but they have to be the 15x8 corvette version. Welds always look good on a first gen. I agree, needs wider tires in the rear now. You're only a few good burnouts away from needing them...

(Only since you asked.) I really dig the current tire size combo. It gives itnthat classic stance. My Pop was running those Weld's on his 65 Elk for many years & I never cared for them. Besides that I am a sucker for the Rally's so if it was my car, I would have left them on. Either way, the car looks great and you should be very proud.

I think you should go with mickey Thompson S/S 275/50/15 on the rears. It will ride good. Hook hard on less than 400 wheel and has a meatier look.

Good to see ya back. Crazy I was lookin to do the same thing woth cars. Had my 6th gen FIFTY. Traded in for 18' silverado. Then wanted a 68 or 69 tubbed camaro. Diff is you kept all yours!! Lol. I miss my camaro so much.

Caution with the wheels in the winter on the roads after being treated for snow. You can have a lot of staining that requires some heavy polishing.

26's for the front would've been the better fit, i always ran front runners 26x3 1/2, Mickey Thompson used to do 26, Wow times have changed for sure!

I think you should of went with the torq thrust wheels personally, car definitely needs to be lowered front and back , it’s looks like a monster truck , inch in the front inch and half in the back

You could go with 15' rally wheels, 8' in the back 7' in the front.

My 69 has a 496 making according to my engine builder like 550 it’s more like 700 but it’s got a Jericho 4 speed with 410s at 55 mph I can watch the gas gauge literally move it’s stupid but in 4th gear I can just tap the pedal and it’ll go vrrrrrrrrRRRRRRRRRR

Personally I like the factory Rally Wheels, but for aftermarket period looks I would choose a Torque Thrust, or Crager SS... Then if you want a hint of period looks combined with a modern twist they make wheels (I wish I could remember the name) that have a torque thrust vibe, but an amazing modern look in modern low profile sizing.
