This couple is simply mesmerising to watch! They’re a class higher than the rest, with their ability to combine a look of quality and elegance with such powerful and musical choreography. I have no doubt that this couple will go on to become professional world champions in the future. Their dancing gives me hope for the following generations of ballroom dancing.

Unfortunately I don’t see the same calibre of movement, nor the consistency of shape that previous champions have. Perhaps with maturity . To suggest at this stage of development that they actually will win a future world pro is a moot point, and ultimately insulting to those who have actually proven high calibre performances over the years. There’s a significant political movement behind this couple as displayed by the troll commentary promoting them “online” and the benefit of their dynastic familial traditions.

@@lanerope4482 They aren't going to be competing against more than one "previous champion". That they were going to win the World Amateur was quite predictable five or even ten years ago, based on where they were then, their rate of improvement, and yes, Boyce's political support that ensures they get the best coaching. I would be surprised if they didn't win the World Pro at some point; they don't outclass all previous champions but they seem to be a cut above others the same age.

@@psychohist . There has been a succinct troll element online to promote this couple. You know why don’t you?. That’s what happens when you need to defend the results. Still not the same calibre as former champions. Have you ever looked at Boyce’s feet?. Obviously not, because if you did you’d know what I’m talking about. And that girls weight is so bad lol. Whatever! Cheers.

I think their footwork is a weak point. The upper body presentation, hairstyles, and costumes are really good.

I wish I could dance like them ❤

Oh it makes me feel bad for the other dancers. These guys glide like slicker than butter.

They are much better than Fansil, but not as good as Evaldas! So depends who you are talking about.

Boyce and Janes actually have quite a bit of WDSF influence, unfortunately.

I love their dance. A really majestic performance. I see it as the "old good style" of waltz. This is the way the waltz should be danced and the youngest generation should learn from them. I would only like a smoother movement at 0:14 (but that's look like caused by stress) and at 0:34 they start very suddenly the fast Reverse Standing Spin from a slow Develope, which is a short wave of the "new style" and the single moment which I would slow down, adding the acceleration phase in between. I can't agree with @jndancer that "the positions of ladies are exaggerated". The positions are OK, even more they are beautiful and grateful. An exaggerated position is when the lady touches the dance floor with her head in contra-check or oversway.

The best! I hope I could improve my dance and be like them too someday❤️❤️❤️

All three couples are good, and within those 3 i'm quite a fan of M&S. But Fergusson danced also very well. In fact, i expect somewhere them to be champions this night. And somewhere i think, what's the exact reason they weren't

To be honest, Michael and Sandra are much better in waltz. Compare with the beautiful waltz of M & S on this channel, just published an hour ago. M & S are in a far superior class, and can even be world professional champions. Their waltz is a unique art. Very good timing, light and beautiful.

Disagreed. Glenn is clearly superior to Michael in every respect, and while Sandra and Caroly share some of the same faults, such as left hand positioning, Caroly's foot and ankle usage are superior. Michael and Sandra simply don't have the softness of lowering, resulting in a somewhat brittle look to their dancing.

Танцевальный ход получается более изысканным, если отсутствуют вертикальные перемещения корпуса у танцоров ("пульсации" вверх-вниз), и если медленное вращение пары не замирает во время приставки ноги. Странно, что не удается увидеть пару с последовательно четким таким танцевальным ходом, - по Алексу Муру. [21.11.2022.]

I love to see beautiful foot work but I hate the over exaggerated positions of the ladies. I am so perplexed why ballroom dance has took this turn. Surely the man has to overcompensate for this? Is this the direction of dancesport?

I don't love this angle that the follower is dancing at. I know this is what's done nowadays but I don't find it beautiful :::shrug:::
