Thank you for sharing your simmer pots with us. I definitely wanna get one now. You can use it with so many things (universal fragrance oils, essential oils, liquid potpourri, wax melts, etc.). That is so awesome!

I almost picked up that watermelon oil because I also love the watermelon buttercream melts, but I wanted something a little more spring-y than summer-y and grabbed a Sea Moss and Sage scent by BHG. The Garden Rain one by Mainstays also smelled really nice. I hope they add more scents, especially fall scents.

I don’t think I’ve smelled Sea Moss & Sage. I’m going to have to look for that at my next Walmart trip. So far they haven’t offered many new or different fragrance oils which has been a disappointment for me…at least not at the Walmarts I visit. Hopefully in the future they will! Maybe I need to look other places or online and see what I can find. Thanks for commenting🥰

@@mamashalldo I ended up not liking the Sea Moss scent all that much. It kind of smells like 80s hair spray after a while. 😅 But, I did see they brought in some more scents since I commented. There was a Warm Rustic Woods that smells fantastic and I've been adding a few drops of Sweet Apple to it in the warmer. It ends up smelling like a spiced apple, so good!

The 80’s hairspray comparison made me laugh! Thank you for the chuckle:). I love to laugh! Ok so I will avoid that one:) I’ve had the apple and do like it. I’m wondering about the Warm Rustic Woods and if I have that one or not. Currently, my oils are packed bc I’m moving a room to a loft above my garage. The issue is that it was supposed to be completed in October 2023 and still isn’t…so while some things I have unpacked…most of my oils are still in a box🙄🙃 Thank you for sharing!

Thanks for the information you offered on your video. I just purchased the speckled simmer pot that you have in your video and wasn't sure if it was compatible with wax melts as well as oils. It says right on the box that it can be use with wax melts, unfortunately the box that I chose was crushed on the side and I didn't see that bit of information. If it wasn't for your video pointing out the obvious I may still be searching for the answer! LOL I just wanted to say thanks so much!

I just got the same two that you have from the Manchester York store in Pa, my question is do you add water first in the dark brown one like you would do with the beige one? & the Mainstays Warm Apple Pie, the Vanilla & the Better Homes Warm Spring Sunshine are the ones that I brought & the smells are awesome!!!!

Hi Marc:). I do not add water for either when I am using the fragrance oil. The directions are confusing (at least I thought). I believe adding water would be for a simmering potpourri🤷🏻‍♀️. I agree the smells are amazing 💕

Watermelon have my house smell ao good i got in my living room and bedroom in got the wax Watermelon for my bathroom

The adding water instructions are for essential oils only, b/c they're too strong to use without water. Universal oil (and other burner oils) can be used straight and of course, never add water to wax melts.

I got the white colored electric simmer pot tonight at wal mart for $10 too lol . Have you tried the Warm Rustic Woods Fragrance oil? It smells so good, my favorite. Try it out!!!

Thank you🥰. Yes, the instructions are pretty sad, hopefully someday they will make an update to it🙃 You can put wax melts in the same little cup that you put the oil in.

Hi:) I don’t believe it is the same as the fragrance oil that is typically used to make incense and candles. I’ve had some people comment about giving it a try…but I have not heard any results yet:). If you try let us know how it goes!

I purchased the tan one. Do you need to add water to the simmer pot? I see two different instructions

I noticed conflicting instructions as well…the insert said one thing and the box another 🤷🏻‍♀️🙃. I did not add water, I assumed water was used when using a simmering potpourri. I just put in a little fragrance oil and turned it on. What fragrance did you get?

@@mamashalldo Ok lol. Thats what I did & it was fine. I tried the water & oil mix originally & could barely smell it after an hour. So yes strictly oil seems to work better. I did get the Vanilla scent..smells great. I plan to try others in the future!

The only thing I can figure is that some oils for diffusers are synthetically derived and shouldn't be heated.... ? These warmers should include a lid to keep the cooled leftover wax or oil from dissipating its fragrance until the next use. I might just place an old saucer plate on top when it's safe to do so. I keep my wax melts in small, individual Ziploc bags to prevent losing the scent.

That’s a good idea! I only put in a small amount of oil and then discard it when I go to use it next time (so I’m not messing with hot oils). I might use a tablespoon at a time. I’m not sure what would happen otherwise as far as the oil sitting out.

Hi Sarah:). I don’t honestly know, but in my personal comparison oils for candle making/wax melts seem more concentrated. If you give it a try I would love to hear how it goes:)

I believe you could! I have not done it only because I have a ton of wax melts. But the warmers in the video are good for wax and oils.

Mixing with the water, for me it didnt smell. I used it with the watermelon and water and didnt smell. Will try only oil

@@mamashalldo I have the speckled beige. Its says you can use with oil or add water or use wax. I was trying to save on oil by mixing it with water but it didnt work so I tried only oil and it work. I purchased one by BHG with the bulb and timer. It worked the same, it's sooo bright😂. I went online and the one I have (speckled beige )its on sale for 6.00. I ordered 4.

When I read that bit about water I think I thought they were talking about using it with water and essential oil or water and simmering potpourri (which I haven't seen for sale in a very long time). I am glad you are happy with it now:)

Hi:). Right now I am having issues with the cream speckled one leaking oil. I have been using it more recently compared to the other one, so perhaps some sort of coating has worn off🤷🏻‍♀️. I’m just not sure.

How do you open the bottle

You have to push down (kinda like a child proof pill bottle) and twist to open at the same time. It seems as though some are harder to initially open than other bottles. It also seems that after the initial opening they are a little easier to open going forward. Good luck:)

How long does a bottle last

It depends how much you use at a time. I use probably about a tablespoon each use. I have not actually measured, but that’s my guess on the amount I squirt in. That seems to give fragrance for about 6 to 8 hours. I use the timer feature. Then next time I use it…generally it’s the next day…I discard to cool oil and add new. I hope that helps a little. One bottle can last quite a while.

Can you use these to make candles?? Just wondering..

That’s a great question:). I don’t know for sure. It is very strong, however it is different from fragrance oil I have bought specifically for that purpose before. If you do some experimenting please let me know how it works out:)

@@sadafzahoor5506 I don’t know. I never heard:(. I’m thinking a different oil would be better. I believe the candle making oil is stronger. But…there all new scents out for fall:). I just picked some up today! Have you tried any yet?

Have not used to make candles but I did use it to make a room spray and it works amazingly I just added about 1/4 of my spray bottle with rubbing alcohol added the fragrance oil I did not measure and then filled it up with distilled water it is amazing I used the lava smell it smells really fallish to me

I'm still trying to figure out how to use mine!

@@msredd8886 how much did you put in? I probably put in between 1 & 2 tablespoons. Another thought is defective oil or a defective warmer.

Thats what I got when I started reading the use directions very confusing and conflicting. I wonder who writes the directions. Im using it as we speak lavender in bedroom for relaxing sleep and warm spring sunshine in front room very appealing scent. I guess if its too strong add a little bit of water then put your drops

I wonder about those instructions too! Goodness🙃. I haven’t tried the lavender but I should. Seems like the older I get the more and more I appreciate lavender scents! Also, that is a great tip about adding water🥰

When i first got mine I filled (covered the bottom) of dish with fragrance oil now I put 8- 10 drops (gotta make it last) obtw the watermelon scent is 👍👍

I have another question this is for anyone. On on of the dishes I noticed the hot plate was wet? Was it not properly cured and what can I use to seal it. If a kiln is needed can an oven be used and #how long # what temp...thank you all. KZread is the place to go

I’m sorry your having trouble. Others have had this problem too🙁 Some of the bottles are VERY difficult to open. Others seem to be easier. It’s something along the lines of a childproof pill bottle to open but trickier. I will say that after the initial opening of the bottle it seems to be easier to open. Good luck😊

They are a little tricky. It’s like a childproof top…so you push down and turn at the same time. After you get it open the first time it becomes easier:). I hope that helps:)
