I originally found your channel because of your Garden Paws gameplay, so I'm excited to watch your new series with the new map! I'm currently wrapped up in playing Subsistence, but I know what I'll be playing next! It's great how often the devs give us large updates.

Oh Subsistence seems like a really cool game too! I have had it pretty much since it entered early access but have yet to play it. But some day I'll get to it! :D It's indeed awesome with all the new content regularly being poured into Garden Paws. I'm curious if they'll start focusing more on Potion Paws now that they finally finished the Switch release for GP though. I kind of hope so - not that I wouldn't like to see more new stuff in GP, but PP could really use some TLC! :D

It is so nice to see you starting over on this game. I started watching your channel because of this game way back. I am also starting a new game now too so you inspired me. I also picked up HammerHelm because of you! I love watching your videos because you are so cheerful and infectious playing these games. Keep up the great work!

I'm glad you found the videos helpful. It is indeed a very chill game where you can take things in your own pace. The only things that are time dependent are a few seasonal quests that have to be completed before the end of the season (but if you don't they disappear from your log and you'll just get them again the following year) and of course seasonal events but they always come back the following year. So you never miss out on anything and there's so much to do in the game that you can't do everything every day anyway. You'll have to prioritize what to focus on on any given day and what that is all depends on you as a player and what you prefer. You'll get around to it all eventually. Someone mentioned in a comment recently that it's best to get the inn built before the end of the first year as it will trigger the spawn of a specific npc in spring of year 2. If not then that npc won't arrive until year 3 (assuming you built the inn in year 2). I didn't know about that requirement, but again you don't miss out on anything permanently - it just gets pushed till later. :) There are A LOT to do in the game and what you see when you first start out is just a tiny part of it, so it can indeed be kind of confusing to know what to prioritize and some even think there is very little content. But oh boy are they wrong. It will take at least a couple hundred hours to complete everything (not counting collecting all animals, costumes, skins, blueprints) and even more if you're the type to get into building and decorating. There's also more content in the works, so more updates will be coming. :D Hope you'll keep having lots of fun with it. I recommend joining the game's discord (link is in my video description) if you haven't already as it's the only place the devs are active (outside their development livestreams) if you wanna catch glimpses of upcoming content and it's a good place to get help from fellow players if you have questions.

Thanx! :) It's cuteness overload and if this video is all you've seen then you've seen nothing yet! :D There are so many different skins, loads of cute costumes and animals and tons of cute and beautiful decor to collect and unlock in this game! It's just all round a relaxing and really addictive game to play: "juuuust one more day" kind of deal lol

Haha yeah I think it's even more challenging when you have played before as you kind of have to try and forget the old layout even if some things are the same. :D :D The glider is definitely gonna be a huge help! I love getting that and I'm actually happy that you don't have it from day 1 - it just makes you appreciate all the more when you finally get one! :D :D

It is so cute and lots of fun. Very relaxing to play and addictive! Lol "juuuust one more day...." So hard to put down again once you start playing :D And they just released a new update yesterday (more updates are in the works too) which adds a bunch of new cool stuff.

I bought this game before pandemic. I found this video trying to see if it’s worth going back to because it was fairly good last I played. Maybe I’ll find you so I can add you as a friend.

If you enjoyed it before the pandemic I can't imagine that you would enjoy it less now. :D They have added many new things since then including treasure hunting, animal breeding and the new island, Kozita (has it's own npcs, animals, flowers and more), that you don't get access to until around year 4. They also expanded on the dungeon or even added it depending on how long before the pandemic you played. And of course all kinds of new decor, building pieces, skins, animals, flowers and more. There's a few hundred hours of gameplay to get through it all - even more if you are the collector type who wanna collect everything and/or the builder type of player. :D

I just stared to play this game like 2 day ago and I love it. Do the blueberry bushes or the lemon trees that you didn't plant by yourself grow back when you cut them down or will they just be gone?

Oh I'm happy to hear that you're enjoying it! It will keep you busy for MANY hours to come ;) The wild berry bushes and fruit trees will grow back in the same location - you'll actually see them grow starting as a sapling in the spot and after a while they are back to full size. :)

Happy to help if I can! Hope you'll continue having a tremendous time playing GP - it's such a cute and relaxing game to play and has so much more content than most people realize when they start out. ;) Expect a few hundred hours at least to unlock and build everything. Likely more if you're the collector type who wants everything or if you get sucked into building and decorating :D

Garden Paws is ideal for that indeed! Was actually just talking to a friend earlier today about how Garden Paws is the go to game if feeling under the weather in some way or other because it's just so chill and relaxing. :D I wish you all the best with the operation and hope for a speedy recovery afterwards!

It IS a lot of fun and very relaxing. :) I haven't played multiplayer but from what I know everything is kind of shared as in the quests are tied to the world and not the individual players and everyone shares the farm. There are some extra houses in the world that can be bought if each person wants their own house (or you can build something yourself), but it might not be the first priority as there are many other things to spend money on and I think most people just plop down storages outside in the beginning. I checked the wiki for some info: gardenpaws.fandom.com/wiki/Multiplayer_Mode It seems saving is tied to the host, so they have to sleep to save any progress made by any and all players. Generally it's my impression that most people play in their own world and then just invite a friend or visit a friend in the friends world every now and then to trade or play together for a bit, but with the main focus being single player. You can switch between private and online anytime you want. So you can play single player for hours and hours and then decide to go online with that world and invite someone or just leave the world open for strangers to join and then go back to single player again later, if you want. You can have 5 worlds/saves so you can also choose to have 1 or more worlds that you keep private and have 1 or more that you use for playing with others. There's a Trade channel in the GP discord (Garden Paws discord link is in my video description) that people use a lot for meeting up and trading with others for instance. Generally I would recommend joining the discord as it's the best place to get information about the game (the devs and moderators aren't active in the Steam forums) and especially about multiplayer.

Oh no. I haven't gotten to Kozita myself yet in my old series and now it's gonna be a while before I get that far in this series :D But from what I know you should get a quest automatically when you enter year 4 I believe it is. Hope it didn't bug out for you! I definitely recommend you joining the GP discord and asking there in case you have encountered a bug or something! If you haven't joined it already there's a link to it in the description below.

Ah yeah it's a long way off to get to Kozita when starting a new game lol But I do like the feeling of having many many hours of adventures ahead - there are SO many hours of gameplay in this game! Definitely not planning on starting over again anytime soon though - this time I wanna play all the way through, but I think at this point the devs have also adding most if not all of the main features that they wanna add to the game. Time will tell though if they'll keep updating the game as much or start focusing more on Potion Paws. :D

You have to get the wheat farm for the town and then Miller will have some quests for you - one of which will give you the blueprint for the rice mill. If I remember correctly you also get the wheat paddy via Miller whereas the rice paddy was through Abby I think like the sushi station :)

Well it's not in early access, but the devs keep releasing new free updates and I know for certain that there will be at least one more update though it wouldn't surprise me if more will be coming after that one too. :) You don't have to start a new game when new stuff gets added - there hasn't been a single forced wipe in this game.
