The thought that two hunt units cannot be on the ongoing banner at the same time is not valid at all as we already had topaz and seele on her rerun which are both hunt themselves

Its still absolutely valid since the point that they could cannibalize each other's sales still stands. The logic isn't flawed and for the purpose of speculation is a good thing to note.

There's going to be a new late game game mode that caters hunt units so they will be more useful later on.

Ye but he gets actions outside of his turn cause of follow ups. Also if we compare him IL, Jingliu and Acheron then I don't think he comes that close to them in damage. I'm not a TC though so I won't comment much on it.

​@@Eicheronx Against 1 beefy boss with corresponding weakness type, he should be better than DanIL and JL; all at E0 + best build and team. Not sure about Mei senpai. Mobs around the boss make him waste a few turns, that's how AoE/blast chars pull noticeably ahead.

@@Eicheronx Yea. I mean I haven't been on honkai as long as others, so I'm still trying to form a second team, and I wanted my second team to feel different from my Acheron hyper carry team to run, so the idea of the follow up attack team really interested me.

I dk about Topaz. We thought these reruns were coming from 2.1 but they changed it I guess because fu xuan being a preservation released before Aventurine doesn’t give the new character a chance. So I think it could be Fu Xuan and someone else.

Yep. The thing is...who else will they rerun? Argenti is already a physical DPS so chances of him are low. Ruan Mei will clash with Robin so probably not her too. The main reason for topaz I can think is that they're going for the IPC synergy with Aven in 2.1, Topaz in 2.2 and Jade in 2.3

bootyhill might actually be pretty good along with other hunt characters, since the new gamemode that has been talked in the dev notes, makes it sound like its a specific endgame mode for hunt characters, just like how pure fiction works more for erudition.

@@Eicheronx it wanst explicitly stated as a "hunt gamemode" But it was pretty obvious its gonna be a boss rush mode where the bosses will have slightly different mechanics ( I believe they're gonna remove their abilities to summon minions) But if we see how most of endgame modes work: MOC Works best for destruction characters currently, PF Works best for erudition characters, it would only make sense that the new gamemode ends up being for hunt who has been lacking a home to call their own for a while...

i really hope sam is in 2.3 so i can get him and his lightcone, possibly even e1. i need my gundam

I just got Aventurine, the next 5star I really want to pull for is Ruan Mei. I want her LC and to get her at E2. (I'm lucky to have her at E1) I don't have Topaz and the only have Dr. Ratio and Clara to support Aventurine for a FUA team. But everyone seems to be saying that Topaz is needed. If that's the case then I'll likely be skipping a lot of characters these upcoming patches):

Congrats for Aven. By the way some insider info, a lot of people are saying Jade will replace Topaz in the FUA team so you might want to consider that. Don't take my word on it though I'm not a good enough theory crafter to recommend someone who to pull. Good luck on whatever you end up going for

Ok this is all just speculation but let me tell you. So Kafka will probably rerun later on like 2.5+. Ruan Mei has huge chance of rerunning in 2.3 and Silver wolf will probably rerun like 2.4 or 2.5. Good luck on your pulls

Ok let me tell you, so yeah, definitely go for Fu Xuan. She is worth it for sure. Other than that, try to get a second team set up, you can go with anything to be honest, like if you want to play DoT then get Kafka and Black Swan, if you want to play FUA then get Topaz and Robin. Firefly is also coming in 2.3 so you can get her too as she is a DPS. For now, Imo get Fu Xuan and wait for Ruan Mei rerun and Firefly. Good luck on your pulls

I'm going to be opening my wallet lol, cause I want them all! If I was F2P and I had to pick just one, I'd say... Boothill. I already have Bronya, Ruan Mei, and Sparkle so I could probably forgo Robin if I needed (and I don't run FUA a lot). Sam and Jade both seem epic (Sam is very much right up there with Boothill), but man that cyborg cowboy gunslinger is so.... *staring not respectfully* So for me I have enough characters these are all just wants really. The only 5 star I don't have atm is Argenti, I was too broke to whale for him sadly at that moment in time. My bf is going for Robin/Sam. He is going to be skipping Boothill and Jade most likely.

i have skipped every single person since black swan so i can get sam/firefly, i have waited long enough, i have 65 pulls and 60-ish pity saved for them, and if jades banner comes before sam/firefly's then i dont think i'll be able to wait, i might just implode right there. but even then, i will wait however many more days and dump every pass i have until i get them.

Not gonna lie I'd rather Firefly be playable. Yes I know Sam and Firefly are the same but hear me out. Firefly playable and her ultimate is turning into Sam and doing a crazy fire atk. Like when we had to fight Sam as a boss battle, when Sam jumped up and did that flaming jump kick and came crashing down? That would be the Ultimate. That and it would send hsr profits skyrocketing. Think about it, another waifu to add and nearly everyone would be going after Firefly who's ultimate atk would be suiting up into Sam and BOOM. Major fire DMG against a mob.

If you play DOT then Ruan Mei and If you enjoy FUA then Robin. They're both equally good for hypercarry comps from what I've heard

if you don't have sustains then Aven is a very good pickup. Robin is also really good but you can also get Ruan Mei during her rerun. Good luck for whoever you wish for
