I've had my turtles for 14 years, and I've been feeling a little regretful lately since my filter leaked and other life problems. But watching your videos and seeing how much you care for your turtles and providing the best for them made me feel better and reminded me of the joy of owning turtles when the tanks are well kept.

squirtle was my favorite pokemon as a kid and it made me beg my parents for pet turtles. Im 26 now and realized that I havent been taking care of my RES turtles properly now that theyre grown. i spent the past 3 hours binging ur videos and making a list of what to buy to give my turtles a better life. you deserve way more subscribers than this and i think you’d grow much faster if u post on tiktok and ig reels. thank you for the tips!

Hi I have a red eared slider for the past 18 years now and the FX6 has been out go to. I'm recently upgrading her to a 150 gallon tank with more tank mates since she doesn't eat fish weird, I know. I also added an additional 2 FX 6 so 3 total. What media would you suggest for all 3 to keep the water clear and clean for her and the fish. Which included tiger barbs,clown loach a pleco 2 fire mouth Cichlids and a few large gold fish.

Hi I’m running a similar setup to yours, I have a full sized red eared slider, and a 5 inch cichlid, a few algae eaters, an albino pleco, and I’m running 2 fx6 fluval cannister filters. I used to run sand in it - but the filter was picking up a ton of the sand and I thought that may be part of the problem - so I’m running it bare bottom right now. I also used to have some lava rocks in the tank. My question is - I’m having to clean my filters probably twice a month (each) I’m cleaning the tank at least once a week it seems, and I’m not sure what’s causing the excess. Possibly over feeding? I’m slowly adding more cichlids. Sitting at 4 currently, 2 are maybe 2 inches, ones a good 3. Thanks for any input!
