Great tip! I hope you enjoy Iceland. We went Jan. 2023 and it was amazing (and cold and dark), we got to see the Northern Lights twice.

Have you called the hotels and asked them to match those prices? By booking through the hotel, you’re safer if you need to cancel or are a member of their loyalty club and want the points.

I've tried several times and very rarely do they seem to be willing to match these days, they just it's more expensive to book through them and to just book through the Agoda etc

I haven't had much luck price matching over the phone either, so I've kinda gave up. I realize it's technically safer if have a problem, but I've booked hundreds of hotels on booking.com and think I've only had an issue once in Egypt, which they helped me solve. That said, I normally don't stay at fancy hotels with loyalty clubs, so in that case, I can definitely see why you'd want to do it that way.

@@ProjectUntethered I also travel, UK is home, but love Asia and have business all over the world, so enjoy going from place to place. Never had an issue with hotel through the major or even slightly dodgy booking sites, car rental, insurance etc. All solid

It should work for any hotels that show up on popular booking sites like Booking.com, Agoda, Hotels.com, Expedia, and sometimes (but not always) Airbnb 😎

Yup, sorry for not explaining it better - it's the time at the tail ends of high season. This depends on the destination, but it's easy to figure out for your destination with a quick Google search.
I never book or booked hotels guesthouses or hostels 😅😅

I'm about 80% sure you don't have to create an account. Just add the extension, activate it, then go to booking.com. I did end up making an account, but even if I'm logged out of my account, the extension is still doing the comparisons for me. I hope you can figure it out, it's saved me a couple hundred dollars over the past few months already :)

Some of the apps and sites recognize the vpn ip adress and do not let you show the websites. So it ia not the 'holy grail'.
