It's essentially a 3s MAXX now, minus GTR shocks lol. It's really nice that Traxxas has finally released a fully upgraded truck that doesn't need any upgrading(minus shocks). I have a HOSS with the Extreme HD Upgrade kit + GTR Shocks with VG Racing springs and it's been as tough as my MAXX. I actually prefer the HOSS in smaller/tighter spaces because the shorter wheelbase turns quicker. The MAXX needs a larger space to stretch it's legs and show it's power, even then it's pretty close. I love both trucks but they both shine in different scenarios.

I agree with that.. Its a great truck for the money. Plenty of fun to be had with the "normal" 1/10 mt's for less money.. Hell, a Maxx V2 is over 800 CAD

the Maxx v2 is awesome as well but for the fun per $, this is hard to beat.

It's a fun little truck, but I can't even compare this little truck to my upgraded Xmaxx with big electronics. My X-Maxx and XRT, which is also upgraded, are freaking RC vehicles on steroids. Double backflips, 30ft jumps, all terrain, no limits. I personally prefer the bigger rigs because I can see them easier from far away, they drive over almost anything, they are easier to jump on a huge ramp, and they are easier to film 👍

I can agree with all of that. I tend to stay away from too much 5th scale because they are so big to work on and move around, but they are a blast to drive!

Hoss was/is this. exact same truck. I always wanted a hoss but never pulled the trigger. I did now. haha.

Is there any difference between this one and the bl2s model other then the motor and esc? I bought the bl2s model when it came out and put the 3500 vxl on it, its alot of fun.

totally different still. Stampede is smaller and only 3s while the maxx is bigger and 4s. you can even do 6s in a maxx and be fine. tough comparison because they are so different. both super fun!
