Ғылым және технология

Welcome back, Tankwatchers! This week at Starbase, we're buzzing with excitement as we see a full stack return to the pad for testing ahead of Flight 4, the rollout of Starbase’s second launch tower sections, and near-completion of the main footprint of Starfactory. Flight 4 Merch! shop.nasaspaceflight.com/collections/starship-orbital-flight-test Patches are coming out of preorder and shipping this week! 50 percent already gone (and when they are gone, they are gone) - I know that sounds like an awfully worded ad, but to avoid disappointment.

Another wonderful update video. Hey, since starbase has developed quite a lot since 2019 and is looking like its coming to its final shape, atleast for the build site, could you guys make a timeline video? It would be so cool to see a timelapse with commentary of how things progressed from 2019 or even before and how bays and tank farm got made, demolished and new ones erected or laid down! Specially with the buildings like star factory, tower itself at launch site people would love to have one single video to refer to when they quickly want to check out how many months it took SpaceX to make it? Please consider this request and atleast keep it in the video queue. Love you guys❤

Maybe the 2nd tower is for the catching of the boosters as if something goes wrong they will mess up there launch pad, makes way more sense to me to launch from the current OLM and catch at another. The catch tower then doesnt need any fueling stuff, any deluge system and less infrastructure near by to be damaged, its only going to take 1 ship to fall off the chopsticks at the current OLM and it could take out the new tank farm.Once Landed/Caught they just roll it to the bays for checks etc then back to the OLM for another flight. In fact i'm so pleased with this idea if they don't do this i thin we should tell them somehow. Btw if this has already been suggested i didn't know lol

After WW2 the whole Soviet Union was rebuilt with prefabricated blocks produced on huge factories. I have a couple of books with typical residential buildings. Back then architectors could use only special blocks from catalogs. Like playing lego in real life. The fastest construction was finished in two weeks for a 5 stories building. It's interesting to see that these technologies are still in use. I thought they were abandonned for a more flexible design process.

Wow, whole lotta stuff goin' on! Guaranteed excitement is coming again, within about 2 weeks it seems. I was going for May originally. I still think Mr. Musk may try to slip it in before the last day of May. Alternatively, June 6 would be appropriate, eh? A D-Day of a different sort? But I like the new flame trench at Massey's, looks like it should work great. Of course, you'd need about triple that for all the Booster engines. We shall see if they build one for the 2nd tower, eh? Great update Jack, entire @NSF team! You guys rock! It's so cool to watch these every week and be kept nearly totally up to date!

All the KZreadrs that talk about Ship 31's electrical short turning Sparky or Arcy don't seem to mention that it could have been Boomer or Boomee. With the power in those arcs greater than an arc welder or a cutting torch, even though no Methane was used, even cutting a small hole in a pressure tank could have easily popped catastrophically similar to SN1. With the thrust coming from the failure on the side, there could have been greater damage to the site.

Arcy is a pretty good name for ship 31 I like that. Sky crane is fun, having worked with them though, I will tell you that initially grabbing the tag line on the load when it arrives can hurt a whole lot. The blades of the helicopter whipping through the air generates a ton of static electricity and you ground yourself to it when you grab the tag. Still an incredible experience though.

The new OLM should definitely be built to the south to protect infrastructure. It just makes more sense. Side note: The Pre fab parking garage kind of worries me. Hopefully my concern is unwarranted. I'm sure there's rebar in the floors and walls, but both look thin. Atleast on camera. Hope it can handle the extra weight of todays modern vehicles. The weight of vehicles are getting out of control. For example: The new electric Dodge charger coming out will weigh nearly 6000lbs. Its just over 5800lbs. I have no problem with electric vehicles but thats an obsurd weight for a car. It's not even an SUV or large truck. Why would anyone buy a (car) that weights as much or more than a huge Chevrolet suburban? How stupid can Dodge be or buyers be? It will drive like a tank. No Thanks! I like cars that can corner really well not just drive fast in a straight line. Whoops that accidentally became a rant. 😅
