New tow truck! New computer! New problems!

While I’m trying to get my new computer up and running, I had to dig a little deep for some footage for this new video.
First we move a shipping container for my father so he has room to plant his garden.
Next, I show you a little bit about the purchasing of my new rollback tow truck.
Lastly, I explained a little bit of the problems that I’m having with my new computer.
Looks like I’ll be using the iPhone for at least a few more weeks while I figure this complicated piece of machinery out.

When I've had a few too many drinks with dinner I'll often call a tow truck to get me and my car home. It usually costs about $70 for the tow but a taxi costs about $25 each way ( ya gotta go back for the car the next day ) and the parking is about $12 . Also I have the peace of mind that my car is safe at home where it should be, not in some open parking lot downtown.

Hey friendly tip, you're likely missing out on some performance from that graphics card because it should be in the upper most PCIe express slot. That is that silver rectangle right below the m.2 drive. That upper slot offers the best performance and is usually reinforced to prevent damage from the weight of the graphics card. Happy to help walk you through swapping it over, its super easy.

On that Freightliner, keep an eye on the top of the radiator, they like to develop a crack there and it leaks in a way that can be hard to find if you don't know where to look. I have replaced the radiators in almost all the freightliners in our fleet so far. Other than that great trucks so far! Glad to see your business is growing, keep up the good work.

I remember going to start my shift at the tow company I used to work at the 1st day with a new truck in the fleet. (That I had to go pick up) Drove out to Oxnard to pick up the new truck, loaded my pickup truck on the back of it and on the way back had a lockout and and a AAA tow so I used the wheel lift on the back for the customer car. Got to the repair shop and dropped off the the car that needed towing, then stopped and got something to eat on the way back to the shop came back out from where I was eating and looked around for my tow truck for about 10 minutes before I realized that it was a different truck even though my pickup truck was on the back of it I didn't recognize it right away. LOL!!

This is because the top slot is given more power and a true 16x PCIE lane.....Which means its faster and can use the graphics card to the full potential.

Hi Matt's, congratulations on the new truck, one more tool to keep going day by day, just like the computer. I think that now you can have an opportunity with your truck, in preparing a maintenance book, with the manufacturer's recommendations and some other for your experience and someone trustworthy. This situation will allow you to carry out preventive maintenance, in frequency of hours, kms, or days, which in the medium and long term represent an economic saving, although these routines can be "boring." The fixtures will allow you to have a more productive and more available truck for your work. Greetings.

The specs he shelled out sound pretty solid, slight step down from my own system on video and processing power, but more storage (which is great for videos as they take up tons of space). I look forward to seeing the new videos using the computer. Though all the recording will still need to be done with an external device (like your iPhone haha). I noticed you use your stinger as a pulling brace. I had two attachments made to slide on each side of the “Tee” that act like spades in the soft ground when winching. Just a thought

Donald Pauli That sounds like an excellent idea. Especially out in the soft soil where a lot of his recovery's are.

Dad just wanted a visit as that backhoe would have moved the seacan easily.

This is what I'm thinkin. Almost any mechanically inclined person I know is willing to (eventually) upgrade into technology (sometimes begrudgingly) if it will somehow simplify life. Here you are using tech to your advantage to possibly make life easier and can't seem to use any comm devices (even a phone app) to communicate with other vehicles on your recovery site. I'm going to sit back and wait for the day. Still enjoy your family environment.

Great videos and don't even know why they showed up on my feed here in Ireland but loving the 4x4 towing and pulling out of amazing places.... Could I be a menace though and say would you not be safer to put in a rear cage to stop the gear in the boot coming forward in a tip or roll over god forbid.....

All harddrives crashes, either sooner or later - add a second one in there, even the cheapest one you can find - and have the videos on both the drives at least until you are done with them, that way - when the drive dies, you won't loose all your things... (yes - speaking from bitter experience)
