Upgraded steering wheels are always one of the best aesthetic driver mods because you use it all the time and get to stare at it. Can't wait for the downpipe install on the Audi tho! Excited to see how different it'll sound

I’m going to wait to show it off in the next video. I don’t wanna rev the car hard until I tune it. But just normal driving…it’s louder and their are slight burbles. And I know my stage 2 tune is gonna make it even better.

204 just doesn’t have the best aftermarket support. Everything was so piece-meal and high-risk. Audi is a solid platform that you can get 1 brand/company that makes everything from intake to turbos for them. Just a lot more reliable and trustworthy.

That’s not a bad price for a custom wheel. Looks avant-garde. Next level.

Everyone should use a new steering whee bolt after putting new one on. Those bolts are one time use , i work as a parts advisor at benz.

Yeah, that’s what Mercedes recommends but I’ve never had an issue as long as the steering bolt is showing no signs of wear, I use loctite, and it’s torqued properly. And I’ve changed my steering wheels many times and in many cars. I should get a new bolt going forward especially when they are pretty cheap to buy.

my car is an AMG package from factory so it's fine. But if its not your cup of tea, as mentioned in the video, you can customize it however you want with DMP. There's tons of options. It's pretty cool what they can do.

I took it off cause my wife didn’t like the alcantara feel. She likes the steering wheel to be more slick

So I have the 2016 Mercedes Benz C300 W205 It has a 2 tone interior where everything's blacked out in wood trim on the bottom but the upper is some light tan color is there any websites that you know of That have aftermarket or oh yeah replacements to black it out the rough lining the sunvisors a sunvisor's a pillars See pillar area of the air bag coverings the sun roof frown screening

My MB has heated steering & active lane keeping. Will the new wheel have these features too?

Hey flexx! I have a 2012 Benz c250. My cars radio turns on and functions but there’s no sound or the volume button doesn’t work. I’ve read a lot of ppl who have this problem but can’t find an answer, do you have any knowledge about this?

Does this come in different colors? I have a 2017 c43 that I'd like to do this to, but my interior is cream. I think the black wheel with red stitching wouldn't look good. Always awesome videos man!

I like the design of the double spoke but hate the haptic touch controls (as with every automotive reviewer). I have the facelift version and the toggles of the lower buttions and the roller knob for the volume are second to none, It does have a small tough mouse on each size and that is the weakest link

Just replaced mine and now my car veers to the right when I let go of the steering wheel while driving, do I need an alignment or did I put it on wrong? I just replaced it with another OEM wheel because my leather was peeling, don’t see how I could’ve lined it up wrong when the plugs are there for guidance.

Changing a steering wheel doesn’t cause alignment issues to the car. Even if you accidentally put on the steering wheel crooked, you can still hold the crooked wheel, and the car will still track straight. I don’t know what happened on your install, but if that was me, I’d go get an alignment check asap.

@@TheFlexxGarage appreciate the quick reply. Turns out I put the wheel on crooked 🤦🏻‍♂️. I used the airbag and steering wheel plugs to line it up when I put it on, not knowing that the plugs move freely even with the steering wheel shaft locked into place. Just had to take it off and straighten it out, all good now.

Bummer I was in until the cruise control didn't work.

It’s not gonna magically work because it’s on the steering wheel. Car was never designed to have cruise control on the steering wheel anyway. You win some you lose some. I’m not gonna let a lil thing that like stop me from having a dope ass steering wheel. Lol

In your previous videos, you changed DMP ambient light settings with call and volume button on the steering wheel, how does it work here?

As mentioned in the video, it’s a brand new style steering wheel from DMP to give my 2016 a 2023 look. It’s not an OEM 2023 steering wheel that I slapped on my car.

I did a custom coding on my car using an OBD2 module. It allowed me to install AMG features and disable my annoying seat belt warning and shut off the Auto start stop. I had to remove the video because the reseller stopped selling the module. It was cool. Now I can record track time, know my g-force, know my engine oil and coolant temperature and more.

Mine was plug and play. Only need a module if you want parts on the new steering wheel to work when you didn’t have those features on your oem steering wheel.

It works the same way it’s always been working. That’s how the car came from the factory. Go look at your car’s manual for details on how it works. The cruise control buttons on the new steering wheel just doesn’t do anything and i must use the OEM cruise control lever. That’s all.

Does anyone know if replacing a steering voids a manufacturer or CPO warranty?

Any mod to a car “can” void the warranty but nobody can tell you 100% if it will. Not me, or anyone who responds to your comment. It’s up to the manufacturer to determine what voids it cause they are the ones approving and not approving any service carried out. And it will depend on the dealership too. Some are by the book and some aren’t.

No. Cause this steering wheel looks like the new style but it’s designed for the w205 c-class. You only need a conversion/reprogram if you are installing an authentic OEM new steering wheel on an older c-class.

What about the heated steering? Does it work ?

The version I have doesn’t have that feature. Plus my stock steering wheel didn’t have that feature either. If you’re looking for a steering wheel with that feature, then you need to contact DMP and ask them.

Very hard to explain in words. Easier to show in a video but I’m not making one for this one thing. It’s not the same as the stock oem airbag removal. Requires skill and patience.

They’re legit. That’s one thing I did a good amount of research on before installing them. Especially when my wife drives this car a lot. These airbags meet all the regulations and the quality is exactly like my own airbag when I compared them inch by inch. Gave me peace of mind that I also installed an aftermarket airbag on my A4 and now also on my Audi R8 as well.

Oh I get it. But you have to remember that any airbag is a gamble. Look at Mercedes oem airbags. A lot were recalled cause they were part of takata airbag issue across multiple car brands and like hundreds of thousands of vehicles.

Then move the steering wheel so it’s centered instead of being on the arrow (cause you don’t need it to be right on the arrow. The arrow is just a guide). There’s a lot of factors that sometimes make the arrow now exactly centered. or you need an alignment done in your wheels and the shop will straighten your wheel when they adjust the wheels.

Yeah. Cause it was the same thing with me. I place my steering wheel on the arrow and it was slightly off center to the left but noticed even if I move my steering over 1 notch, the was crooked the other way. There was no notch exactly in the center. I got an alignment and told the shop to straighten my steering wheel a tad and it worked.
