EV sales have dropped in Germany due to subsidies being withdrawn, nothing to do with the Model Y being old.

Oil is subsidized $US 9T, that makes fossil cars subsidized $US 31.250. In 2025 the forcast in 2025 are $US 11T. And, the imports of oil are more expensive. So, Germany are gaslighting their citizens. All to conserve their car industry, that drags their feet.

@@ISuperTedTesla needs to focus on getting the prices down. You can get an EV in China for less than $US 10.000. With high tariffs this is $US 20.000. So, where are the model 2, and 2 suv? And, the 48v architecture? And, the 350-500 kw super charging? I think that Tesla are more conserned about paying Musk, than building the factories they need. The payment to Musk alone is 3-4 new factories.

@@kevinW826 teslas make A LOT of model ys due to manufacturing simplicity and they have no problem moving cars, we are talking an inventory hovering at around 10k of all models in stock, globally, this for a company that pumps out over a million every year and growing selling is NOT an issue for tesla, that being said they will discount Ys heavily to push them out as people wait for the newer models, which is fair enough, why buy the old one when the new one comes out in 6 months, but at a discount they'll move them quickly sooner they can move on older stock the sooner they can streamline sales, orders, training, procedures, etc

It is indeed an indication for clearing stock, if you look at the numbers you'll find that Tesla sales have increased a lot in the past few weeks, and stock parked on the airport is akready sold. But it doesn't have to do with Juniper, it's just a reaction to overproduction.

@@elduderino7767 exactly, why buy a two year old phone? No one wants one just like no one wants an old EV. Buy the newest and greatest and let the old one build up and sit and rot in the back lot of a car dealership. Save the world by destroying it. Strip mining the world and creating disposable cars that last as long as the software is working. Ir's because it is very difficult to forecast demand, so at one point you'll end up with underproduction (and rising prices) or overproduction (and falling prices). This happens even in markets that grow exponentially long term. So right now, everyone has created too much production capacity, that's why we see cuts in workforce (not only at Tesla) and Tesla piling up unsold cars at an airport. Right now, the situation is changing again. Tesla was able to sell most of its overproduction in the past few weeks.

I'm more interested in lifetime of the battery than charging speed. Also, with all these different battery details, in the future when you want to replace your battery (a long way into the future), will they have a generic good battery pack to replace any/all of the versions with? Also, with top arm squeaks, are moves being made to modify them to make it much less of a problem. Finally, when i think of it, I think that as soon as different brands come out with VtoGrid and VtoHouse ability, any brand that cannot do this will be in big trouble. I think 😁

Otherwise I know pretty well what speed I'm doing without needing to keep checking, and the speed is displayed prominently next to the steering wheel on top left of the screen. Buy a nice EV with miserable range, but a good price. In 3 years you will be able to buy an inexpensive replacement battery pack for it that will double its range. So many people don't understand that by the time the battery pack reaches its end of warranty, or even less that generic replacement battery packs are going to be very cheap and very long-range.

Yes, with 400 V, we are limited to 250 kW on the charger"s end. However, if the battery was able to take more than that, it would also mean that 250 kW could be achieved for a longer time (instead of only the first minute of charging). So even if max power was the same, the battery could be charged a lot quicker.

It'll be interesting to see the Juniper specs whenever they come out. If the batteries are capable of giving the car 20% more milage, will they keep to the same range and just reduce the size of the battery, which inturn will reduce the weight? Im not sure if a longer range than what they have now is a priority for them? Probably the biggest concern with evs for most people, is the thought of needing to replace the battery, even though they are guaranteed for 8yrs. If they can greatly reduce the cost for a battery change, I feel a lot more people would be happy to crossover from ice. If you were happy to replace the battery after 8 years or whenever the battery failed, could they still supply a battery? With how fast the technology is changing, could a new battery even be installed in an 8yr + old car?

These include indicators, hazard lights, horns, warning lights, windscreen wipers, and emergency ‘SOS’ features. The move aims to enhance driver safety by minimising distractions caused by touchscreens. “New Euro NCAP tests due in 2026 will encourage manufacturers to use separate, physical controls for basic functions in an intuitive manner, limiting eyes-off-road time and therefore promoting safer driving,” said Euro NCAP Director of Strategic Development Matthew Avery. Meanwhile, ANCAP CEO Carla Hoorweg told the press, “Physical buttons or stalks to operate these key vehicle controls will be encouraged through scoring, with manufacturers awarded points for the prioritisation of physical controls.” The automotive industry, led by Tesla, has been shifting towards touchscreens to reduce manufacturing costs. However, the overreliance on touchscreens has raised concerns about driver distraction. In response to the growing issue of touchscreens causing distractions, ANCAP also emphasised the importance of easily accessible controls. “We know driver distraction is a growing factor in road crashes, so it is important that certain in-vehicle controls are easily accessible by the driver and don’t complicate the driving task or contribute to in-car distraction or inattention,” Ms. Hoorweg said’
