I am obsessed with this. I've worn it all summer and haven't got even slightly tired of it. Needless to say, that opening is absolutely unrivalled but this is a legit mood-lifting, confidence-inspiring, clean-feeling masterpiece.

This is a refined and, for me, a mood-lifting freshie. I blind bought this and couldn’t be happier with it. It’s sorta like a grapefruit lemonade. No offense to fans of Tres Fraiche, but I got a BO vibe with that one when I tested it. Eau Givree is a breath of fresh air by comparison. Between H24 and this, I look forward to the next Hermes release 👍🏻

Completely agree, Ash, incidentally I smelled it today. I´m not a fan of Eau Tres Fraiche, yet huge fan of the OG TDH. In my opinion this one does manage to be what ETF could not: one really great fresher flanker of the OG TDH. To my nose it does bring grapefruit to mind, while also having the original DNA there. Lung-filling refreshing, absolutely nothing bothers or annoys my nose in this scent, flawless. Basically an outstanding and very well balanced fresher take on TDH.

Love this fragrance. Probably one of my favorites, so clean!

Tried this for the first time yesterday. My dad recently came back from London and got me a bottle. Upon first smell, I liked the citrus and freshness purely based on a smell profile. But, as a scent I would wear… I was like ehh. I tried it yesterday and WOW! It starts very citrusy and bright and mellows out to a nice lemony, slightly woody fresh body scent for the rest of the day. Lasted about 6-7 hours on me. Gonna try it again today!

I was torn between buying Eau Tres Fraiche or Eau Givree considering I hadn’t smelled either fragrances. I ended up pulling the trigger and blind bought Eau Givree a few days ago. I agree with you : so much better than H24 ! I love Terre d'Hermès, but I like that this one is different enough from the OG. Beautiful fresh scent :) !

Checked it out at your recommendation at a local shop, absolutely beautiful scent and my daily casual scent for this summer season. It's already been approved by my colleagues and I know that for at least the first 4-5 hours at work I am going to be radiating the freshness. The intense longing for a sparkly ice cold grapefruit lemonade kind. One that makes even the grumpy ones smile a bit. For the special occasion in hot sunny weather where you dont mind being noticed, where a little bit of envy towards how delicious you smell isn't a problem, I still prefer the brisk birch freshness of Aventus Cologne. The later is a scent that projects rather modestly after the frist two hours. So you have to make those two hours work in your favour.

Twist cap was sooo iconic, cannot believe they removed that :(

Obviously Ash is spot on with this take - only thing I'd add which I'm sure he'll mention in the full review is the new atomizer is better than the twist-cap TDH ones as it's pressurised

Its my new favourite tere d’hermes hands down!!

Got the100ml of this 18TH May UK John Lewis and yes its still fresh like the older fantastic Tres Fraiche, but to me has a gin and tonic and slightly herbal side to it whilst still having a zingy summer vibe to it. I could still smell this after 8 hours but with low sillage from the get go so i feel going 6 or 7 + sprays with this isnt going to knock people over. Very happy with it. The Tres Fraiche is already very hard to find but i found a 30ml gift box with the 125ml refill for a non crazy price.

Great review! I love this stuff and purchased a full bottle. I've been disappointed with the performance though. How has the performance been on you since you've gotten it?

This is why I am a fan of dior sport 2021.. It's classy, very fresh and a nice scent, but it also lasts pretty decent compared to other fresh ones

DHS21 or Eau Givree?

Terre Hermes and Bvlgari rain essence, love the new summer fragrances!

I got a 2ml tester of this when i ordered Bentey for Men Intense and the lemon opening intrigued me.

Nice review, Mr. Ash!!! I wonder if this fragrance appeals to people who dislike the original TDH, such as myself.

I'm a big fan of the Terre line but had to return the Tres Fraiche. I loved the opening but the performance was terrible on my skin. Can't wait to try this one.

I’ve had mine for 2 days now. Initially ordered the 50ml and now got me a 100ml right away! I love this stuff and the world will know it! Regarding performance: I sprayed it at 7am today leaving for work, when I got out of the car at my girlfriend’s place first thing she said “you smell nice!” At about 5 meters. So yeah it performs longer than you might think and I’m hot weather radiates like crazy!

love this one. bought without even knowing it exists. just went past one of my favorite fragrance shops, popped in to say hi to the sells girl, and she tells me - you love Hermes, don't you? we got a new one. it's still in the box. she took out the tester and mid the first spray i was hooked. it's a great summer fragrance and i just love it. also, if i remember correctly, the initial PR for terre d'hermes, the original one, was all about using less components in a higher quality and a better blend. i remember it because that was what sent me to get my first terre.

Your review is spot on! I tried Eau Givree at Bloomingdales the other day and fell in love with it at first sniff. An excellent upscale freshie on par with MFK’s freshies. Yes it didn’t last long, but then again what citrus dominant fragrance does? It’s a refreshing, comfortable, and enjoyable wear just in time for the Spring and Summer. I wanted to buy it on the spot, but they told me it wouldn’t go on sale till their official launch on June 10th. PS Sales associate advised me that Eau Fraiche has been discontinued.

I ordered a sample of Hermes original, got a little dropper bottle. Put a few drops on testers and skin, but couldn't get into it. So many people like it so I have opted to order a sample at my next frag binge.

I'm totally sold on this one.

I had my mind set on this one since I saw the first pictures. I will most probably buy one. Eau Tres Fraiche is one of my favourites summer fragrances. I saw a poat somewhere that it got discontinued due to some banned ingredients. I don't know if that is true or not.

If you want both classy and refreshing try Maison Margiela Replica When The Rain Stops. I tried it in a store, started to drive home a couple of hours later and had to turn round to go and buy it!

Hey Ash, I have been watching your channel for a while, and have learned a lot. That being said I was wondering if you could do a review on "Azure Noir Homme"?? It's a cheapy clone of a cheapy, but would like to know if it really smells like "Azzaro Wanted".

After trying this, I think they should have released a completely new line with this. Think they can come up with some brilliant flankers for it, and with it tied to the TDH line it makes it a bit tricky.

I kinda miss the twist top. At first I didn't like those, but once I get used to it, I really like that design.

Bought Eau Givree not long ago after testing it a few times in stores. Buy it! You won't regret it.

I only know Terra d’hermes I’m not familiar with the flankers and I love the terra d’hermes. Just got my decant and I hella dig it. Not bad at all. But I think I still like the OG Terra. I still have to try the others

I actually have a buddy who uses Hermes frags in Asia. Eau Tres Fraiche didn’t do too well in the longevity department. Not many frags do well in the super heat tropical climates. 😩

Love the brand.

Can I layer Eau Givree with Creed Aventus? As Terre D’Hermes already layers well with Aventus.

This one looks amazing! Can't wait to get my nose on it! But for those hating on Eau Tres Fraiche... Its a very unique and classy fresh fragrance with a lot of character and if you don't like it you should wait until your tastes have matured a bit and revisit it. Though you'll have to pay more for it because its discontinued.

Hey brother, there's something new from Centauri Perfumes. It's called Antheia.

I love this release. I think it’s the best thing Christine Nagel has added to Hermes since taking over for JCE. I whipped up a quick demo on my wrist of Ambroxan, ISO-E-Super, Vetiveryl Acetate, labdanum absolute, with lemon and grapefruit essential oils on top. It got me super close to this. I sprayed Eau Givree on my other wrist and they were super similar. Eau Givree was more bitter probably due to the pepper note and the juniper. Great release from Hermes!

I’m not blaming you. But, you did influence me to get this. When I tried it in store it smelled great. What I DIDN’T know after I purchased it was that the performance was absolutely horrible. I wish you would have made that known.

Got a sample when I (blind)bought D&G Italian love...and pfff should have bought Eau Givrée instead (Performance on my skin is way better).

How does these refill bottle work...can you fill lets say this TdH with Sauvage?😬

Eau Intense Vetiver disgusted me to the point I almost never smelled another TDH scent again. Luckily I found a random OG TDH sample in my travel bag and loved it. I might even blind buy Eau givree.

Tried this today but the drydown reminds me too much of h24 wich i dont like that much, see people say that this is so much better then h24 but they are very close lol

I recently grabbed a sample of Terre 'de Hermes Pure parfum to see what all the hype with this brand was and thought maybe I got the wrong one because I didn't care for it at all. Then I ordered a sample of this one (which I saw was highly recommended) and I don't like it either (from the initial opening to dry down). Is it supposed to smell like you shoved a lemon/grapefruit up your nose? It looks like it gets a lot of love so it must be me, but I'm starting to think this line isn't gonna be for me.

I'm curious to try this one out! Eau Tres Fraiche has been discontinued due to some ingredients now being marked as 'allergenic/irritant' and banned. Hermes has come forward and said that they couldn't change the formula and still have ETF smell the same - so they came up with Givrée instead.

There's nothing allergenic or irritating about ETF. Seems that hermes was just looking for an excuse to discontinue it, perhaps due to scarcity or high cost of some ingredients

They changed it so it can be used as refill .

The cap is updated because this is a refillable bottle. With the old cap it would be very difficult to make it refillable if not impossible.

Tres Fraiche is officially discontinued. Recent IFRA bans hit Tres Fraiche so rather than roll out a stealth reformulation, they just released this version as its spiritual successor (which is why they are so similar).
