The construction of Techo International Airport in Takhmao City is almost 76% complete. The airport has been constructed with an investment of 1.5 billion US dollars and as of June 6, 2024, it was reported to be 75.8% complete.
HE Mao Havannal, Minister in charge of the Secretariat of State for Civil Aviation, led a visit to the construction project on that day to understand the latest developments. It is expected that the airport will be completed and operational by the first half of 2025.
The construction of Techo International Airport started on June 16, 2020. It covers an area of 2,600 hectares throughout Kandal Steung District, Kandal Province, and Bati District, Takeo Province. The airport, built with an investment of about 1.5 billion US dollars, is designed as a 4F airport, capable of accommodating large aircraft such as the Airbus A380-800 and Boeing 747-800. (Read more)
