Patty thank you so much for this technique. I have your Mezzaluna brushes and really have not used them, but now I will be using them doing this subtle technique when I imagine the value it will add. It really does give dimension to the words. 💕💕💕

I like this softer technique, it's very subtle. Thank you, Patty. You used a very dry brush, black paint as you used black paint for the stencil. Would you use the same color as your stencil if you used a different color than black? or would you still use the dry black (or maybe a gray) for a soft gray effect?

Thank you! That would definitely be personal preference and determined by what colors you use on your project. Most times, we drop shadow with black, but with this technique, you could definitely use a color since it is more of a fade than a crisp drop shadow.
