Once setup, do you have to run Zwift on the computer, or is the computer broadcasting the output/cadence that can then be picked up on a tablet or phone running Zwift?

Hello Trevor. Currently you must run Zwift on the same PC as TDFDB3. I hope to have that fixed once the Bluetooth module is released (hopefully real soon)

Hi Dan, I'm a newbie having only just got a TDF 5.0. I will definitely try to install the Data Bridge on my PC. Do you have to open accounts with Zwift and Rouvy for it to work? Thanks

Hello Kevin. Yes, you'll need to open an account for both programs. Zwift has a 15 mile demo period while Rouvy offers you a couple of weeks to test the program (unless I'm wrong). Please note that Rouvy AR does not yet support ANT+ fully, so you will have to download the Rouvy Workouts version instead (that works well with all ANT+ devices). Hope this helps!

Time for anpther software bundle update? I could not get TDF Bridge 4 to install due that what appears to be refences to deprecated modules. Install logs sent, awaiting reply. Was really hoping this is as going to work and the Ant+ USB purchases were not a waste of money.

Hello! Sorry for the late reply. The connection between the computer and TDF2 bike is via wifi. Please make sure you check the network settings on your bike console to obtain the IP address of the bike. Hope this helps! Dan

Hi Dan, great job. I have started of using TDFDB with Zwift and RGT last week and observed that speed measurement from these both virtual cycling apps does not coincide with the one my bike's console shows. The values from Zwift and RGT visual interfaces are between 20 to 40 percent higher then one TDF bike provide. I have also figured out that the speed data is not transmited trough the TDFDB. So, how to explain such a differences and how to circunvent this issue ?

Thanks a lot Henildo! Yes, that is correct: the speed shown by each simulation (Zwift/Rouvy/iFit/etc) is estimated using different variables, including power output, user weight (that together with power output are the basic variables used to calculate speed - w/kg), as well as road conditions, power-ups, etc. That is why that piece of data will rarely be the same between simulations. @@masteroats7396 hey, I personally haven't tried it out but have had the S10i for about 8 months now. The bike came with the handlebar controls not working. They couldn't get us a technician so offered a refund but no stock of bikes so we kept it for now. The cranks have come loose and I fixed them and the pedals have a click in them. I'm very experienced with bikes and the ifit trainer and screen are very good but tbf you could buy a spin bike for 400 and just watch on KZread. You think it's going to be amazing and it is Good but technical issues make it a money risk unless you getting a good deal

Hi again Dan. I have been experienced some freezes of TDFDB during my last Zwift and RGT sessions. Both the cycling simulators remains working normaly along the entire session but the data from TDFDB stop of being updated withot notice. These times the TDFDB main window shows fixed values (the last ones before the interruption) instead of the current data from the indoor bike . I have checked the DOS window and there is a error message there about loosing of communication. For solving such an issue I have to close the TDFDB and reopen it. I have been using two wi-fi setup: the first one adopts an external router for connection of the laptop and TDF bike and the second one uses the laptop as a hotspot (so, laptop is cable connected directly to the Web). As the problem happens on both setups it seems to me it can be a TDFDB misfuction (Ant+ communiction bridge). Any sugestion to help us on diagnosis ? Thanks.

Hello Henildo, yes! I'm aware of the problem. It happens sometimes when the wifi signal of the bike is weak or there is a peak of traffic in the WLAN. No worries, I'm already testing Beta 1.0.3 with a fix to that. I hope to be releasing that this week if everything goes as expected. Cheers! Dan.

I have the full version, and I got it to work for about 3 minutes, and it hasn't worked since.

Am I correct in thinking there is no way currently to use this with proform tour de france clc bike?

I dont know why, but i dont understand... on your blog about V2 you say that its not compatible for mac, here under video there are requirements "PC running windows or Mac" so whats the true? Where can i find some tutorial on installing and running Mac version? Where i put TWO ANT+ ??? both to one PC ? or where?? Hello Martina! Yes, version 2 was only compatible with PC but version 3 is now compatible with Mac and PC. Both ANT+ adapter will go on the same Mac computer. The process to install on Mac is described in the instructions manual included in the demo ZIP file, the only extra step no included in the instructions that you need to do is described on this blog post: tdfdatabridge.wordpress.com/2020/11/07/oct-2020-update-on-installation-errors-on-some-mac-and-windows-systems/ I'll be updating the videos soon with all the users feedback so, thanks a lot again, and feel free to contact me at tdfdatabridge@gmail.com if you need help installing the program in your Mac. My ProForm bike is in an annex above our garage so is nowhere near a computer and connects to a different Wi-Fi router to what the computer in our house uses. Does this mean that this data bridge won't work for me?

Correct, you must be able to at least ping the bike from the computer were you will be running the program. If there is no network connectivity between the PC and bike, unfortunately it won't work.

Hi! Cool app! You go through detailed instructions for installing TDFDB3 using Windows Command Prompt, but don't address how this is done on a Mac. I'm still on my free trial of iFit, but I'd like to get this figured out so that I can move forward with Zwift or alternative afterwards. Thanks!

The instructions are heavily weighted to PC. If you use a Mac it’s next to impossible to implement.
