They should have made it so when the BT-42's tracks get shot off instead of the tracks repairing it just starts driving around like a wheeled tank for full anime accuracy (For legal reasons this is a joke)

The BT-42 is quite an interesting tank. It was made by the Finish and has: - it has a British gun from 1910 (but still in use by even the British in 1939) - it has a Soviet hull from the BT-7 (as the name may suggests) which was able to drive without tracks like a car - the turret was Finish-made to house the gun - it used Finish-produced German HEAT rounds (the Finish got the plans from the Germans)

To me not much...i always love Russian ideas. Grab 152mm arty gun put it on random chasi and call it TD..spam huuge HE/AP ammo on Panzers:) Same for SU100Y. Juri we have many spare navy 130mm guns. Ivan aha lets make TD iam sure it have enought power to destroy Germans panzers..

@@GenHummel96 18 were built and they were not very successful. The turret was too big and heavy, the gun was insufficient, paperthin armour was even thinner to compensate for the heavy turret, and the extra weight still caused far more mechanical failure than in the original BT-7.

"Not too many players play tier 5...". Well, it's my favorite tier. There is no pressure, you almost never lose money (i.e. credits) even in bad games, and where else would you meet tanks like VK 30.01H? Tier 5 is pure bliss.

girls und panzer anime made me start playing world of tanks again after a tiny 8 year long break. i know many people hate it, but when i heard this collab was coming i couldn't have been happier. it's not for everyone, but it definitely is for me. also, i play with the garupan voice pack modded in, so my every crew has the pz iv ankou voicelines. i just like to play like that ^_^

2:55 BT-42 was an acutal Finnish tank as afaik it had an even slower turret, about 3x slower since it was hand-cranked

18 built, really bad tank overall. Original BT-7 it's based on was far superior.

Sir, I mean no offense, but the BT-42 is pratically meant to be a real pain in the ass for the enemy, going around the enemy tanks and hitting them hard with that almost oversized howitzer... And, if you lose your tracks, it's not a problem... You can still drive without them And, if you play Sakkijarven Polkaa, it's highly probable you'll go totally mad with that tank, causing, if not damage, total chaos in the enemy formation

Derp light shells seem like a VK 105 at tier 5 :) nice

Laughing at the 4 light tanks jostling for 1 bush in the start of the first game…just surprised nobody got pushed forward out of the bush

I don't mind this at all. Whatever you think about anime this is a t least anime about tanks... so it does make more sense that TMNT ^^

@@whazzup_teacupI'd still prefer collabs that have a military aspect or connection with tanks like this current one that features a girl crew in a tank, they did a collab with Warhammer 40k a few years back and at least there are tanks and other military style vehicles in that fantasy game, not everybody's cup of tea but you can't please everyone, TMNT just didn't seem to fit even though I was a big fan when I was a kid

The anime tank 3d skins are also pretty subtle. The Panzer 4 Ankou and the king tiger look almost normal in comparison to soo many other skins in world of tanks. So even if people aren't interested in gup they won't be bothered, since the crew sounds are only for the players who paid for them . 😊

I got up this morning, booted computer, bought the bundle (been waiting all week), played Tiger II after fiddling around with setup, ACED it in the first game. The Tiger II always just works for me, fits like a glove. GuP was just icing on the cake. Premium Tiger II shut up and take my money! I would rather get 30 more GuP tanks than end up with another BZ. They are all real tanks, a number of them are already in the game and thus balanced, and at least they have something to do with the WoT's topic unlike TMNT, Star Treck, Dune...

To be fair the Tiger 2 Kuromorimine is actually more historically accurate than the tech tree Tiger 2. I'm surprised it took this long to get a German Tiger 2 premium. The Anime waifus are a bonus for a German tank lover like me.

Its the same situation as jagdtiger proto vs jgtiger. Jgtiger armor works very well at tier 8 (superstructure is 50/50 for gold from heavys/meds and ez pen from tds and tier9 +). And jgtiger is HP piniata at tier9. So (historical) tiger2 armor works very well in tier 7, works ok even vs tier 8s who dont have over 120mm caliber (40mm roof gets overmatched by big guns). Historical tiger2 armor wasnt very good at tier 8 so they buffed it and made tiger2 great at tier8

Many Girls und Panzer watchers are anticipating to release BT-42 on WoT and some are already expecting like T49 uses derpgun but on tier 5 or 6 and it's actually right on the spot. Turret turn speed is reasonable for balans i guess.

You’re right, they’re canonically Japanese. One of the best examples is Katusha would complain both Nonna and Klara for speaking Russian instead of Japanese. In the English dub Katusha would complain them for not speaking English.

In general that is how it works, so several annoying other characters have been demoted to drivers/gunners and such on my tanks.

BT-42 is a mini Kv2 derp and it is plain and simple a piece of paper. Tier III could probably blast it. The Ankou is copy and paste of PZ. IV Hydro. Now the Tiger II, I like this tank!!!! Of the three which I bought the package deal the Tiger II is far and away the best of the three and it's one of the best Tier VII I have! It has, good armor, very accurate and hits hard.
