Although I have no experience with cons, I am an expert on scrambling to put things together before a deadline...near the deadline. XD Because you aren't feeling well I wouldn't necessarily suggest doing this right away, but one way I've found that helps me do things earlier is to consider, "How can I make things easier for the future me?" I'm specifically thinking about buttons but you could apply this mindset to all of the tasks for cons. Maybe after the con *before* you do your usual clean up try to make it a habit to restock the buttons you'll want restocked. Because the con is still fresh in your mind you'll know what sold and how many buttons you want to make. Even if you create new button designs in the future, you can still take comfort in knowing the rest of your stock is filled. I hope that helps. Kiki, Midna, take care of you mama ^.^/

you should get a ergonomic chair with back support and also stretch everyday. sitting in a chair really tightens your muscles so i have made my own comfortable chair for myself and it helps

Your table looks really awesome! I love how your prints look in the frames. That's such a good idea because it gives people an idea of how they will look hanging up. I know I always wonder about that when buying prints or originals. Do you think doing smaller cons are worth it? I'm in Nashville,TN and there aren't a lot of cons in town. The ones here have really pricy artist alleys and I'm torn between paying so much or if it's worth it to get more exposure. I talked to some of the artists at the last big con here about how they travel to all these different cons most of the year. I just don't see how people do it. It seems like so much work. I hope you feel better soon! You're like a warrior woman doing all that work and being sick.

We had an "ergonomic-trainer" at the place i had my culinary training and they showed us how you can massage yourself using a tennis ball against the wall. You bput it between the wasa and your back and just move up and down :) it is great :)

when u have stalls do you have people come up and just take really close up photos of your work ? i had this problem recently....so annoying. Have u thought of putting up a sign that says " no photos of artworks' ? i was thinking " No photos of artworks, if you want a copy please make a purchase " :P

Maybe when someone takes a 'happy snap ' on their iphone. but when i have people coming up with their DSLR cameras taking closeups...yeah , im pretty sure thats not for inspiration. Its sad, but there are people out there who re=produce your work in photographs and sell them.

LOL cats will find the silliest things to play with. sorry you aren't feeling so good. no fun being sick when you have to be productive. btw.. i have the wire cube things and they are a pain to put together and take apart for me as well. why don't you put your big art on the buttons

I would say next time to definitively make your display on the floor, and then lift it up. It's what a friend and I did at our last con. You will need someone to help you lift it up though, cuz it can be hard to lift it on your own. And those clips that keep the metal pieces together don't really let up with their tightness, even after use. So yeah, I'd just say practice putting it together outside of cons. The more you do that, the easier it'll be dealing with the clips. I would say, to help your voice get some tea with some honey. Maybe it'll salvage your voice. Hope you get better soon!
