Cool! I wish I had this kind of system in the apartment building I used to live in. There, we had SPECTRALERT ADVANCES on CONTINUOUS, and oddly enough, Simplex 9838's on a strobe plate. The pulls were Simplex 4251-20's and EST SIGA 278-B's.

I can clearly see a Simplex 4010 behind the i8005.

The horns sounds like the ones at my school, But they are set on Continuous and are really really loud and scares the Bejesus outta me when It is activated

I wish I had a system and collection as nice as yours! How do your parents feel with the system?

If this were on continuous, all hell might break loose! 😅 But no, I can't even imagine how loud this would be if it were on continuous that is.....

I am not asking to buy anything from you as far as fire alarm equipment but I do have to ask are you planning to make mini systems from the 8005 and i8005 respectively? I would hate to see all the hard work you did on assembly and programming that went into making both panels go to waste. Great video as usual.

I hope you use the i8005 for Mini System Tests or whatever you call those now.

The "silence alarm" switch is basically just an FCI MS-6 I'm assuming. Any modifications to it if so? It's pretty neat though

I didn’t know you needed to pull the alarm to alert yourself in your own home.

I have some questions for you. 1. Did the Simplex 4005 Replace your i8005? 2. Do you still have an annunciator?

Why is the CO alarm only a supervisory? CO in the house is a serious problem. If you can, I'd recommend that you set it so that the horns sound in some other pattern (like temporal 4) if the CO alarm triggers.

So sad that you removed the pulls, strobes, and annunciator from your room!

Probably not, considering he built it himself based on a Parallax BASIC Stamp. I think he got components from RadioShack or something (I don't say Digi-Key or Mouser because it was around the time RadioShack was still somewhat popular for getting parts).

I want to upgrade my fire alarm collection and I want to add an annunciator or a controll panel. Do you know where I could buy a simple and cheep one or do you know someone who could build one for me? Also what is a good beginner alarm and pull that I should use.

I know I'm two years late to this but oh well. Panels are expensive and so are annunciators. Annunciators can run anywhere from $75-300, and panels can run anywhere from $100-5,000+ The Fire Lite MS-2 is a great starter panel. I got mine for $405 on eBay. eBay is your friend when it comes to purchasing alarms! A good beginner horn/strobe and pull would be the Edwards Genesis and the Edwards 270-SPO. A Simplex T-bar is a classic, ever common pull you can get as well.

Look on eBay for fire alarms they have a lot on there

I used to have a wheelock ns but I destroyed it cuz the strobe broke wich I kind of regret doing.

i wish i had a simplex panel.one day...

I think he nerfed it because of many bugs and mainly the NAC failure in system test 31.

Love the system, and while I understand why you have electrical horns, I find them boring.

I don't beleive it's the sync module that makes the horns pulse that short it's because of the code 3 switch in the alarm that when the pulse hits the alarm it doesn't have enough time to charge up so it only pulses short

He used these in the past but I would personally recommend an Artek 8005 or I8005, they are cheap but are really good for beginners

I would not recommend a Fire Lite MS-2/MS-4. They're junk. The buttons don't respond well, they put out FWR, and the dip switches crumble so easily.
