The pros totally outweigh the cons…the non regulation windscreen is easily changed with a 20$ mod being sold on aliexpress, the look of it changes person by person , the power isn’t bad at all the lack of hp is filled by the great amount of torque it has..the pros are way more important..is just enough to say that many are comparing it to africa twin which is 1100cc engine and more than 100hp power…that says it all

One measurement I wish would be presented is the distance between the seat and the pegs. How far from seat to the ground does not show comfort depending on leg length, but the seat to peg does.

So far I've been very impressed with my new Vstrom 800DE. Punchy & playful low end. Electronics UI work flawlessly....keeps all my settings except ABS when it is Disabled. No diving into menus and all info always on the screen. Like someone mentioned, any of the Cons are easily fixable. I ordered a midsize National Cycle Windscreen and there are aftermarket Cruise Control Options as well as aftermarket tubeless wheels. Corbin now has a seat option.

    "Tubeless tire options"?

No con that could be easily fixed. Maybe not the tube tires indeed. This bike is by far the best choice at this price range. No need of overstated electronic. Only cruise control is missing. Should you need to ride 100pc on roads, go for the SE.

Every other review I have watched on the 800 talks about how good the engine is and how much power it has for what it is. The 800 is a far better engine than the 1050. It is not lacking in comparison to any of its competitors in the middle weight class, I have ridden most of them, the 800 engine is the best in my opinion. KTMs are more lively but sound awful and are rough low down. Vibrations are bad? Really?like you say must be subjective one of least vibrating bikes I've ridden. I mostly disagree with you on this one

I’ve tried it and it felt fantastic. Might buy it later this summer. Might not be as good for long distance touring as my versys 1000, but that’s the trade-off one has to do for more off-road capability, I guess.

Thank you for the video. Can you please review the current Suzuki V-Strom 1050 DE? I like the motorcycle, but I'm not entirely sure about the 21-inch front wheel.

Used cheaper GS 1200 2015, GS 1200 2018, Tiger 1200 2020 or Pan America 2020 for long trips to Europe/Asia?

Any plans for testing the Suzuki GSX S 1000 GX? Really like your comparisons, and I would like to know how it compares to the BMW S1000XR.

I'm not sure I understand, you compare this to bike in the class but the engine isn't as good as the 1050? The transalp engine isn't as good as the AT 1100? That's not at all the same class. How about power vs tenere or tuareg? Silly coment

That's the OEM "accessory bar" ... since Suzuki doesn't like to call it a crash bar haha.

The Con with the new Suzuki V-Strom 800DE is actually a "Deal Breaker", NO Cruise Control. dumb

@@sercio994 The MSRP of a 2024 Suzuki 800DE is $13,049, close to $16,000 Out the Door. For that Price why wouldn't Suzuki just put Cruise Control and Heated Grips on the bike? I almost bought a KTM890, it was about $16K OTD, that comes standard with CC, but after 900 miles or so, KTM wants you to come back in and pay them another $700 to permantently have the CC activated. I did Not buy that bike either. Now the new African Twin base model now comes standard with CC, I'll check one out, when I can find a Honda dealer that actually has one in stock.

@@drsous6400Anyone who rides any serious miles knows benefits of cruise control. I bought my first motorcycle with cruise in 2022 and will never go back to anything without even though I actually use it less than 10% of time. I refused to do the dumb friction throttle grip thing. There is a whole host of liability reasons why manufacturers wouldn't endorse such hack solutions.
