My husband has good and bad days but his sister took it very hard and we had just had our last baby a year before she passed so it was definitely challenging. I lost my brother tragically in April and my first cousin who was like a brother, died suddenly 3 weeks after my brother. I was very close to my brother and like you said, it still does not seem real. I have good days and some days the sadness just comes in waves. She was diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer a year ago and thankfully today, she is cancer free. I just pray that people had or have the same blessings with got with her getting another chance. I lost both my parents, and two of my sisters (one widow and one never married) still live in our parents’ house. It is hard. It is different. Each day is different without them. I'm so sorry for your loss. Losing a parent is one of the hardest things to go through. My step dad was diagnosed with AML in August of 2020 and fought until this past March. He was put into hospice on a Monday, and the following week he was gone. He and my mom got married in 96 when I was only 8. I prayer for peace and comfort for you and your family.
