The tape dispenser is SO AWESOME!!! And the envelopes came today I’m about to be set for LIFE!!! ❤️🪲♥️🍓 YES

At work we call them brown tape machines. It looks like you only have half the machine? There is supposed to be a top part with a lever and you pull the lever and it will give you a cut piece of sticky tape. And there's a thing on the side with inch measurements that you can choose how long you need it. Edit: Oh and you're going to have to get blade/sponge replacements for when you need them.

My husband surprised me with a blood orange Sanpellegrino and I was like, "sorry Hunny. Leigh said I had to drink water."

So I’m not sure if someone else has commented on this already. But I’m a colour pencil artist. And you should look at the Caran d’ache luminance colour pencils. They’re soft similar to prismas (Iv heard). I use them and love them. Iv never used prismas though.. (can’t get them here).

Just an idea: set up a prewritten email that you can just send to sponsors you don’t wanna work with! Maybe that’ll take off a little stress :)

Re: colored pencils - I'm also a lifetime Prismacolor user. I recently acquired some Faber-Castell Polychromos and I like them a lot. They aren't as "waxy" and maybe don't have as large of a color library as Prisma has but maybe get some from the store and try them out. The quality is really good and maybe may be a decent alternative for your sketch box.

Leigh, I know it’s like Covid time and stuff so this isn’t a thing we do anymore, but I just want to give you a big hug. That wall water stress is SO relatable. House problems are the worst. Our basement floods every time I use the washing machine. :D Instead of draining out the drain, it floods OUT of the downstairs toilet. So gross. So like seeing how stressed you were about the water leakage really made my heart hurt because I *GET* you. Here’s to hoping the leak will be easier to fix than we think and you won’t have any more soggy puppy beds or decaying walls. On a happier note! One, I’m LOVING how much you’re sharing with us these days. Thank you so heckin’ much. And two, these longer vlogs are my jam and I’m living for them. :D I hope you’re feeling less stressed these days, and doing well. Sending you all the love and happy feels, and toasting a glass of water to you thanks! OH! One last thing! I haven’t sent you pictures of my Pomeranian in forever. Loud ads: ads can be as loud as the loudest element in the audio on the content that's carrying the ad. That's set by the FCC. It's the same on TV too. Wuf. Love your videos! Seriously. They make me happy.

Have you ever tried the Faber castell goldfaber colored pencils? Not the watercolor ones, the regular ones. They are supposed to be "student grade," but they are really good quality. That might be a close option to sub in for prismas if you can't get them to work with you.

I use Faber Castell Polychromos, and I’ve heard so many people saying they’re better than the Prismacolors! At least one can draw full blown color portraits + obviously there are 120 colors 💪🏼 And also Caran D’Ache, however you spell it

@@erinskilbrei polychromos aren't necessarily better than prismacolor. They are oil based, whereas prismas are wax based, so the two are very different. I don't actually like to compare them at all because I enjoy both and feel like they both have their place. Caran d'ache are really good quality, and they offer both wax and oil based pencils as well (luminance and pablos), but I wouldn't really compare them with prismas or polychromos because the formulas are so different that it's not really an equal comparison. I suggested goldfaber because, to my knowledge, they are wax based. They also have a similar softness and density to them that compares well with prismas. They glide like butter and blend beautifully. I actually prefer them over prismas just slightly because they don't break as easily. Unfortunately, though, because they are a student grade product, they do have a limited color range. I think that there are only 48 colors total. But the good news is that they can be used interchangeably with prismas and blend well with them, so for personal coloring and drawing, they are great to have on hand.

Hot tip, you can put a sponge or pieces of sponge in the bottom of the basin, so that you don't have to refill it every time you use it, and not have as much stagnant water in your studio when you're not using it *awkward thumbs up*

I started (*attempted to start *kinda started) planning around my period so I do low key thinking/creative stuff when I feel sluggy - I have a list of "low braining" stuff that doesn't take a lot of energy but doesn't need to be done straight away that I can dip into. I can relate to the anxiety! We’ve had water damage/mold issues in our house over the years. It’s so annoying! And will make you feel terrible if you have allergies. Take lots of pics for insurance. If it’s the result of roof damage (especially from a storm) home owners insurance will usually cover the cost (even if you decide to fix it yourself) You just need a professional estimate and an insurance adjuster to look at it. Hope this week is better!

Love watching your vlogs! I like watching them while I eat my breakfast then stop when I’m done and then continue the next day 😂 it’s just 👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼

Hi from Scotland. The answer to your question why mid roll ads are so loud, is to make you look up from what you’re doing to pay attention to what they have to sell you, at least that’s my understanding of why. Traditionally with the tv most people will get up and put the kettle on or potter etc when the ads come on. With youtube many people have it on in the background whilst doing other things. So it’s a tactic to grab the viewers attention. T x

Holy cow sameeeeee on the emails. I'll leave the tough ones "unread" for days or weeks because I don't have the bandwidth to deal with them, and they'll quietly add background stress until I clear them out. Is it the best method? Probably not. Is it the only way I know how? Absolutely.

What about using Fabre-Castell Polychromos Colour pencils? They are amazing, after using them I now prefer them over prismacolor. They are still soft and creamy (if not more) and seem to be less prone to breakage, unlike the prismas (that’s been my experience anyways)

14:15 Yes! Lol I just moved from a 4 bedroom to a 2 bedroom and had to figure out my art studio situation and I just felt like “just get rid of everything” and then got super annoyed with myself for having what I felt like too much. Like I LIKE the idea of being a minimalist but could never be 🤣🤣

Hi, You may already do this with your emails, but something that could help cut down some stress or at least hopefully some of the time it takes might be to make a generic template you can use and apply to emails. Especially for an email that you may get often like “product gifts” where you can politely decline the request to send you something, etc. and simply add in the company’s name and product and then just a sign off to end the email. This isn’t revolutionary at all, but it’s something I know I didn’t realize you could do had I not seen it mentioned. It is less personable but it might be worth it if it helps. I know stress is sometimes inevitable too, so I hope this is helpful either way. 💛💛

@@LeighEllexson There are some videos on KZread that swatch the Prismacolors and the Faber Castells side by side, maybe that could be something? They’re super available in lots of other countries 🙏🏼 We also don’t have any Prismacolors here in Norway hahaha
