Ren is unfair..He took too much of the talent pool not leaving enough for the rest. lol. You'll see what I mean if you delve into his catalog. Not much that man can't do. I just checked out your video & you got a sub brothers. I liked it a lot. Gave me the feel of a blend of go-go with tinges of bone thugs, some warren G magic with a rock edge to it. y'all KILLED that solo! Well done gentleman! I hope you guys come back for more reactions.

I keep a constant eye out for Ren reactions too. Especially Hi Ren and the Jenny/Screech/Violet trilogy. Watching people's faces as they experience it for the first time is almost as good as the first time I experienced it.

4:00 Did you all notice the Shadows that Ren casts? The Dark Shadow is to his right, and the lighter Shadow is to his left. Pretty sure that was by design, but if it wasn't, then I'd call that one crazy coincidence.

Had to be planned, knowing Ren. He even looks down to his right (stage left) in the spoken word section when he says "the darker the shadow it casts." The shadows are dancing as well at the end when he's back to the opening vocals, standing and playing with the lights going crazy.

​@@swytsYea it's just too prevalent for it to be serendipitous. That being said it reminds of the movie 23 with Jim Carrey. A movie about his obsession with that number as he becomes convinced and obsessed with it's meaning, symbolism and frequency. Veritasium did a cool video on the number 37 and the math and reasoning behind the number and our own intrinsic abilities for pattern recognition. Sometimes even outside the realm of fact. If we see no obvious pattern we create it to bring reason and understanding to our reality.

I think you definitely have to bring these two back for more Ren reactions after this one. In some capacity or another it's pretty apparent that they will be able to appreciate and recognize a lot of the different facets that make up Ren and how incredible of an artist he truly is.

I love how Hi Ren hits people differently. I think the people who it truly hits are artists and people who've walked through fire.

This video & song together are brilliant. With his facial expression changes, vein in neck and lights flickering when 'bad' Ren is talking... genius showing the different sides. And when he stands, starts to belt a few lines out... amazing sound. Might be the reverb of the room, but just sounds awesome. "And I go by many names also, Some people know me as "hope"... Some people know me as the voice that you hear, When you loosen the noose on the rope" That line hits me hard. My wife took her life in 2020 that way. She battled her own self & lost. Maybe that is why I am drawn to this song/video so much. The ending, a pendulum swaying from dark to light, I'd have to say spot on. She explained in the note she left about a darkness overwhelming her & that year it was too much, too dark. So much battling inside for some.

How he can play guitar and switch beats and vocals at the same time still blows my mind.

OMG that was true art. That gave me chills. I’d never heard of Ren before. Black Pegasus I only discovered u a couple months ago and not only are your rhymes fire but I can tell you’re a great human being.

As an ex tattoo artist i used to go through similar battles, always loved Ren's performance for that reason, what an honest clear way to express something so personal yet universal

I remember the first video where you asked someone so you’ve never heard of Ren? I can’t believe there’s still people that never heard of him in the music industry. I mean, he has a number one album. Well it’s the gift that keeps on giving. He doubles in a couple different genres like all of them.

I can never get enough of watching people's first time reaction to this... and even after seeing this at least over 50 times (including when it first came out and the hype at that time) I still get the chills each time. And every time I catch something I didn't notice or hear before or that someone (new) points out. And it's very enjoyable to me to watch people sit in awe and enjoy it as much as I do. Ren is something else.

LOVE these men's reactions. Their eyes and expressions showed so much appreciation and understanding of the wonder that is REN.
