Well think heat has killed the amp now an I’ve got no sound so curious how can I just ditch the amp an run everything as normal ?

I wasn't aware there was a harness that allowed for a direct connection to a Mach 460 system. Those systems are typically a nightmare for installers due to the strange wiring of the speakers. Usually have to change everything out all at once. Having a harness that will allow you to integrate an aftermarket head unit into the Mach 460 system is refreshing.

@@carsandhobbies I'm currently working on mine, and I'm actually ADDING the Mach 460 box a car that doesn't have it. I've had so many people ask me why! I think I can use the old tweeter holes as ports to extend the bass response of the rear coaxials. I'm hoping I can figure out a port design that won't have a lot of chuffing. My goal is to get usable frequency response down to at least 60Hz from them. I'm still trying to figure out the logistics of installing an "under seat" subwoofer into the center part of that box, including how to keep vibrations down. I think it's going to take a bit more than the typical sound treatment with that sub mounted so close to the rear deck. I'm not looking for a lot of bump, just decent full range sound from 30 - 20K Hz.

Hey good install.....just so you know, your sub/amp combo is actually designed for under seat placement if I saw it correctly. A few points. Your neg car batt connection was rusty and should be replaced or cleaned to metal. Where you did the amp ground, clean with wire brush then tighten down grnd wire and give ut a spray paint coat or two. Lastly, you should find some of that black cloth tape and wrap the head unit wires up to keep them from possible shorts.

Thanks for watching, yeah that sub is gone now I have a proper subwoofer for the trunk which I'll be showing in a upcoming video. Yes I agree, I just ended up replacing the negative battery terminal because it was so bad that the car wouldn't start sometimes. I grounded the amp to a bolt on the trunk I scraped off the paint with a flat head screw driver which is what other mustang people had suggested todo. Good idea I'll wrap up some of the wires! Again I'm not claiming to be an expert on this stuff, I was just trying to give people a general idea of how to get a functioning head unit in one of these cars.
