its always worth it to be friendly with the pirates. The black markets arent consistent, but they have the potential to be way better than any other faction store-if you can afford their prices. They can be generous if they like you, but if you get bad rep with the pirates they'll markup their prices by 1000% and any good weapon will be millions of C-bills.

Not sure if it's really worth it though. The +++ is not that much better than the ++ and you can get that on other stores. Some of the +++ is nice but with tonnage being the bigger decider it's not really that important. I find that getting the drop mod with the extra lance is much more important since the game likes to throw stuff at you "out of it's a**" as it were and that mitigates that somewhat.

@@gusty9053 Yeah, its the endgame when the pirates are the best faction to be friends with. My point more than anything tho is that its pretty much impossible to make the pirates happy once they hate you-so if you keep taking missions against them, eventually theres no way back. Its worth it to stay neutral with them at the very least up until you can start buying the really cool stuff.

@3:20:10 clan Widowmaker. I think the first nuke was set off by them and wolverine was blamed the second nuke I believe was the Ravens when the aircraft was shot down. But I can be way wrong on that. Also it was pushed by lil Niki and through him clan Wolf once some of the truth came out that's what led to Widowmaker s absorption and clan Wolf even adopting some of the wolverine social strategy

Fiestarter is the best mech for its weight class as a starting mech--if you reconfigure it with more medium lasers.

22 mins in, and I'm sitting here saying "OMG you're playing refugees from Clan Wolverine!"

Decendents of refugees from Clan Wolverine loosely assoisated with the Northwind Highlanders which themselves have a history with the SLDF Royal Black Watch. Or at least that's the head cannon I'm going for with this company.

Battletech Extended found it's home here discourse.modsinexile.com/t/battletech-extended-3025-3061-1-9-3-7/426 Safe site, its where my install came from, Can't say for the other mods yet, Yet to try Battletech Advanced thouugh that is on my list.

That's why you check always the LOS indicators. Got fucked several times by that even in vanilla

I just strtaed playing HBS Battletech again, waiting for a dlc sale on GoG so I can then play this great mod . Has there been an update/newer Version since this playthrough ?

By 1:40:00, I'm getting the impression that you have an aversion to melee. In early game stages, because your pilots are such poor shots, this is a problem.

Not so much an aversion, more I'm not set up for it yet. Melee hit chance has a modifier just like shooting, only it scales off piloting rather than gunnery. All my pilots are currently . . well crap so the melee hit chance is low, and the mechs they are driving have low melee hit damage so it's a bad combination. You can address it as I will over the next few videos by stacking secondary weapons that add a second high damage attack to melee (I rebuilt my Firestarter to have 6 Machine Guns) but doing so requires parts which at this stage I simply don't have. At this stage, melee is simply an unreliable way to do damage or even to simply hit the target with the combination of Mechs, pilots and secondary weapons I have available.

Pretty sure Hilton Head is the location of the primary HPG station for Terra which is essentially the network command station for the whole Innersphere HPG Network.
