to be fair if you reviewed that many guitars and produce that many videos chances are you might forget a model or two here and there, wouldn't you agree mate...?
I love these. It's so rare to see semi-hollow guitars with a maple fretboard. I love semi-hollows and archtops, but I also love the feel of maple fretboards.

Indeed its the Salvador Dali of hollow Bodies mate....
I bought the Affinity Starcaster during the first lockdown. I've played, and own(ed) pricier guitars, but wanted a semi-hollow bodied guitar, having regretfully got rid of one in the nineties. To be honest I was utterly more than just happy when I unboxed the guitar. It is so easy to play, well made, and sounds gorgeous. I play it more than my other guitars. I'll never get rid of it. Much impressed. I've been a customer of Andertons since first visiting the first shop in Haydon Place. Despite expanding to larger premises, Lee has retained the friendly atmosphere of the old place. Staff are always helpful and friendly. Well done!
I love these! As much as I do love the traditional Fender products, my favourite Fenders are the ones that are a bit offbeat and quirky, and these definitely belong in that category.
I’m in love with these! I’ve always wanted a Starcaster, I have a thing for that weirdo headstock. Definitely picking up one of these soon!
Love 'em. Want to hear more clean play. Nice review all in all. I hope they stay around this time. Love the headstock! Fender feel and punch is my game. Thanks fellas, happy holidays!
I seriously fall of my chair laughing from the random edits you guys put into your videos hahaha. pure gold
I am sorely tempted by these!

Great review! That ethereal intro/shoegaze instrumental jam was sooo good that it has me currently thinking about getting that Starcaster Contemporary in Ice Blue Metallic for our record release show in November...very tempting! (now back to that intro tune one more time...) Cheers, J
Love it when Rob plays this bluesy style, he has so much talent as a guitarist, not keen on the shredding stuff, but he is an amazing player
If they just put that little strip of candy apple red on the headstock of that Affinity, that would just look wicked.
Johnny greenwood from radiohead was a big starcaster player
i got my affinity candy apple red starcaster in febuary and i absolutly love it.
Really liking the look of these
I'm getting back into guitar after over a decade of being away from it, and have one of these arriving tomorrow. Honestly stoked - and everyone who has one seems to love them. Excited to get back into it.~
LMFAO love how it looks like a Wolfgang got a Dave Grohl model prego
As a fan of The Killers I freaking love this. 😍
Just ordered the classic vibe natural from you today, so excited.
i just bought my daughter the red one, she loves it and so do i, great tones.
Finally! Really crushing on the surf green active and red affinity
Thanks for the vid guys, I was never a fender person, but i do like the look of these.
I love these guitars. One of these is at the top of my guitar purchase list. But for now, I'm building a solid instrument that's loosely a Starcaster/Tele hybrid.
love the colors on screen !!!!!!! 2 thumbs up !!!!
LOVE the headstock!
I’ve been waiting for this day for so long
I have a 1973 Fender Starcaster. The plug switch got soaked and no longer works. The problem could be bigger. I need to install new plug and probably wires. How do I do this without losing the plug inside the guitar?
this video made my day
Kudos on the Meters shoutout... I sing their praises often...a lone voice in the wilderness...
they certainly look stunning
I've always wanted a walnut starcaster Now I'm excited for the classic vibe models allowing me to actually get one
I’m a bit shocked by the active model, but honestly because I tend to “box in” active pickups. They really get the “sweet spot” a lot of times. Beautifully done. You could always trick one out with a baked maple neck from Warmoth and still be under $500.
The jam in the beginning reminds me of the orange rocker 15/30 videos jam. It's really pleasant sounding. Genuinely surprised rob and lee have never made an ep of these sorts of jams. I'd buy it
I've always said, the Brits built the amps and we Americans built the guitars. What a musical collaboration !
Got one affinity series starcaster, very amazing, love it
Ordered the red infinity one, hopefully its good. Cant wait :)
Just bought one yesterday. Damn the guitar clings to my soul.
I actually really like it. Especially that mint green one, looks sweet
That contemporary model is freaking beautiful...
Awesome Rob.
The Starcasters we vet here from Bajaoo n Amazon India are not equipped with the Wide Range humbuckers but an ordinary plastic based hums. Do Fenders go out of their way to ensure we get a lower quality ones? What do you guys think?
That reverb sound whenever the guys said "spank" cracked me up. Your editors just have so much free time on their hands. lol
I own a classic vibe and it’s great! I’d like Squier make a classic vibe Coronado II guitar
I really live for these intro jams! Louder, better, faster, longer, please!
HOLY **** I'm jumping in my chair. I know what i'm gonna get for christmas
Just recently got a fender Starcaster and it's amazing
Man the contemporary looks so badass
I quite fancy that red number.
Dave from the Killers uses one. Which would be a Cool Sounds Like.
Got the black contemporary from you this week. Very pleased. Not no.4 but more like no.14 or 15 !! As you say another more freeky guitar for my collection. Great little player though. 👍👍🙋♂️🎸
I really dig these.. had no idea they even existed till last night and a run down of Wayne Husseys rig. Ahh, that cherry red. Sod the Harley Benton purchase, this will be my next guitar
these sound fantastic.
Love the starcaster. I have a Dennis Fano recreation that is my favourite guitar. The Fano headstock is somewhat less like an elf’s slipper though.

That and the Colours coming up on screen. I guarantee you'll know one or two of their hits.
I've been looking for "my" semi for a few years now, and after buying and selling two that I didn't get along with, I realized what I needed was a comfortable neck. I am attuned to Fender, I love candy colors, and I love offsets -- so I got the CAR Affinity. I'm very very happy. Might swap the pickups if I feel like tinkering, but I am getting the same general tones heard here. The neck is the standard generic Fender/Squier comfortable C, and that has really made this the perfect semi for me. And on a budget!

Ive been taking a serious look at Squire CV 60s Strat, the specs Say (Nyiton) is the body material What is Nyiton ?
Trey Anastasio’s Languedoc is based on a Starcaster.
Love the offset shape! Would've preferred them with the 70s strat headstock, though
Nice! Great job guys! Squire beauties! 👊😎
I kinda wish I needed the Classic Vibe version in sunburst, cause I sure do want one.
Love these guitars
Love the after effects coffee cup disappearance

The red in person is too cool, had to get it, @$130 its hard to say no to that.
I never wanted a Squier before. But, I dig these Starcasters.
God I love those. So good
I plan to get one of the contemporary models and swap out the active electronics for passives.
Yay! Been looking at Starcasters for a while. Any lefty ones good sirs?
The Starcaster shape was the inspiration for Paul Languedoc's incredible full hollowbody guitars that he first built for Trey Anastasio of Phish- astounding instruments if you have $10,000 laying around.

Jonny Greenwood is worth mentioning using this guitar, but a Fender one...
I bought a classic vibe sunburst from andertons before Xmas. Wonder why no more until march 2020? Love my one, tuners a bit poop, and Jack socket loose already. Other than that it's a bit good! :-)
Lee - I cant imagine anyone grew up wanting a Starcaster...... Me - *raises hand*
Was... Was that the plug in baby riff when they were saying contemporary at 6:45?
I love the red dude
I wouldn't mind a Starcaster has a second guitar to my HSS Strat, net alone as a fourth!
This is my favorite regular Fender, because it is so rare and so cool, my favorite Fender is and always will be the Bass VI, but the Starcaster is my favorite regular six string Fender, would love to put a Duesenberg Multibender and Gold Foils on it and make a Lapsteel sounding Slider.
Jonny Greenwood from Radiohead plays one. When he does he uses the massive headstock to play keyboard pads too.
I wanna know what genre that intro jam falls into so I can add every song on spotify lol
I've always wanted a semi hollow guitar with dual humbuckers, but all the famous players i weren't fans of who used 335's or gretsch's but then i saw johnny greenwood with one... even though I don't make similar music to him, it gives it that star factor for me also: this would be my guitar 4, first was strats, then teles, then jazzmasters, then these!
At first I thought those headstocks were pants, but seeing it from a bit of a distance made it blend in quite well with the rest of the guitar, especially for the contemporaries where there is a sliver of body color. I like those much, much more than the all natural headstocks that's for sure.
@JZWPikaNozna

Tones of the intro jam sound really close to David Gilmour! Reminds of something like Dark Side of the Moon, and that is definitely awesome. Cheers for the showcase

Ryan from 60-cycle Hum played a Fender-branded one at Summer NAMM, and sounded great (for the surfy/twangy/chimey sound he likes).
they sound great
How is the action out of the box? Would that need to be adjusted?
That sunburst classic vibe one may be my next purchase.
Cool !
I've always quite fancied a Starcaster because Wayne Hussey from The Mission used to have one.
I remember them being on show at Soho Soundhouse in London in the 70s.
I like them! Spent too much on guitars lately though... Maybe in a few months.
Do these guys play the guitar unprocessed, or is it all overdriven or flanged out?
