New Sora Generated Films Are MIND-BLOWING
OpenAI' Sora just released entire short films, trailers, and commercials, all created by text to video AI model, Sora.
Sora gave early access to create agencies and filmmakers to see what they could come up with and the results are mind-blowing.

I work in the film industry. It was fun while it lasted.

Wow. Talk about under valuing yourself. So far all I've seen is fun (dead) eye candy. I haven't seen anything to remotely like quality cinematography with emotional content. These demo videos only work because there's a voice over to create some sense of a story. If all you have are visuals and no story then who cares. I've had a lot of fun with Runway ML. It would be great for creating content for screens at festivals or low budget pop promos. Probably ideal for an alternative to stock footage but not about to replace conventional production.

@@G73Server You're not being rude and there's no need to apologise. Of course this is going to change film and TV production but it won't eliminate it. I'm not being dumb. How old are you?

@@richardhall5489 Check out Eleven Labs. Their voice to text is amazing and newer updates are only getting better. I’ve been watching AI development quite intensely over the past two years and trying to learn as much as possible to transition careers. One thing is abundantly clear when it comes to AI. It is getting better at an exponential rate. Meaning, it is not only improving, but as it is improving, it in turn is improving faster and faster. We are on the cusp of an extremely world changing moment where potentially billions of people will be losing their jobs to AI. It’s extremely heartbreaking to hear my friends in the film industry say that they feel that their jobs will somehow be safe, when I know they won’t. The studio execs response to the writers’ and actors’ strikes destroyed and are destroying peoples’ lives. I have friends and acquaintances that have not worked in over a year in the industry. I’ve been fortunate (or unfortunate, depending on how you look at it) to have worked both on the production side and the studio side of things. Ruthlessly evil people, like Bob Iger, do not care how many lives they ruin. They’ll use every technology available to them to make more money. We’re getting very close to a point where AI generated content and human generated content are indiscernible. Just look at the massive change in article generation in the news, editorial and blogging world. I keep thinking of the story of Big John racing the railroad building machine. Big John may have won the race, but, in the long run, he lost the war. Jobs like switchboard operators, knocker uppers, lamplighters, milkmen, log drivers and more have all gone away because of technology and I would venture to guess that they all likely had the same thought of, “I could never be replaced by a machine. No machine can do what I can do with as much skill.” I REALLY hope a lot of people start seeing what is coming on the horizon and prepare for it. No one’s job is safe and the suffering that people will experience because of this shortsightedness is going to be crushing.
This is so cool. As a photographer who wanted to get into moving images, the sky is the limit.
The real question is what are the constraints when it is released in ChatGPT and how much will api calls be because this probably requires a lot of horsepower might be new tier added for sora generations. Hopefully we don't get Google levels of censorship
cant wait to try it! So cool
Can confirm, mind is blown.
The animal one is so cool too
Do you happen to know if they plan on doing export to some 360 technology? Like, however it is for a VR headset. Would be cool as heck to be able to generate 3d videos with Sora. Would take a retrain I imagine - don't know. A whole other model I guess.
Anyone else reminded of all the Avatar Last Airbender hybrid animals (winged lemurs, flying bison, polar bear dogs, turtle ducks, etc.?
Correlaton between different video clips might be a huge issue right now. Notice when they change location. Its like everything a bit different.
Amazing Bunny Armadilla is the best !!
I'm scare of what this will become in the future
crazy how this stuff is just way better than any cgi except maybe that fox crow
Its not sora that got my atention, its when we will look at sora and say look how bad that Ai model 10 month ago.....
Omg the airhead amazing

I found the distorted creatures a bit sick. The first few were interesting but then I thought it gross, warped and finally . . . Vile.
Now Nothing to believe in the internet. Even video too
Good for commercials, not good enough for movies.

but is it fun making these (seems like "making" is the wrong term even ) ? thats the big question here, seems generic and dull. everybody who has sd installed knows this , its not fun generating images , its just a chore with a toxic addiction element , like smoking low quality crack or watching youtube shorts.
what an air head
Even with a ballon head, character consistency is lacking. :(

I am bored already...it is a stunningly dull future, complete lack of imagination, absence of soul...a gimmick that will soon wear out. My art is not, and will never be online.
Am I the only one who finds it disgusting more than anything else?
not so impressed... I mean, yes, amazing clips. But clips. No character consistency example, that is what truly matter in the 90% of the situations

You can swap faces in seconds
You are all mad is this really what you want the future of films & filmmarking to look like a future where theres no longer human creativity do you not all see the dangers of this.at this rate A.i is going to replace human filmmakers and take away another job & somones passion and your all incourageing it and promoting it its sad
Sorry this is NOT impressive. The most simple thing to create is a round 3D object balloon. Show me a face and expressions and talking. Try dialogue. Try a fight scene. Try making a scene from an actual movie. And most of these videos are two videos merged together and NOT 100% AI. It's still years away. You can't make a movie with this technology yet. Unless you like a Ken Burns style movie where every single shot is a slow moving shot that is about as dynamic as a photo. I'll believe it when I can test it.

It can actually make fight scenes and movie scenes with ease. Also it won't take years to make high level quality movies. Some months or 1 year at max
