I was admittedly a little sad when I saw "3 hedgehogs" being used in reference to modern sonic, shadow, and classic sonic because it automatically made me think of the sonic, shadow, and silver trio. Silver really needs some love.

6:25 well, Shadow has long been established as having Black Arms genetic material in him. So this is likely that surfacing and being utilised in game. Perhaps Black Doom provoked it or dragged it out of Shadow. Edit: Also, stopping time with Chaos Control has been a thing introduction, just not as focused on.

Me too! As someone who loves (Sonic o6), Kingdom Valley is my number one favourite stage in the game. When I saw it, I literally went wild! If Kingdom Valley is here, then that means we may have a potential boss fight with Mephiles the Dark! If it does, I'm gonna lose my mind!

@@chrange9714 I'm not. I'm just stating that none of those games made feel exited. Colors wasn't big budget at all as it was too short and feel lazy with some levels being under a minute long and fill with nothing but flat 2d section to pat the game out, but it was fine for a one-off game for the wii. But then Sonic Team for some reason decided to let it dictate the future of the series and well, that just made the game more hated than it rightfully deserved. As for Generations - Gens was really fun and the levels were expansive, beautiful, and fully fleshed out, but the game suffer the same as Colors in it being really short and story lackluster. I will say that Gens was probably the only Sonic game in the 2010s that I had the most fun with, but I wish it went further. Lost World - Lost World was mixed and clearly Sonic Team didn't know what they were doing. They were throwing things left and right taking things from classic Sonic and shoving it in a new gameplay style seeing what sticks and with that comes a Sonic game with no clear direction and formula. The story also lacks focus. (FYI I do like Lost World, but I can't deny the game was clearly rush) Forces - I don't think I have to explain why this one failed. The only people who like Forces are the people who grew up with it or is one of their first Sonic games and the only one they could play. Remember how expansive Generations boost levels were? Let's throw it all away with linear straight lines and blocky 2d sections. Frontiers - A Sonic game that was promised to be big budget with its higher price but felt like a game made in unity and not triple a. Blocky floating black platforms that don't fit with the island's aesthetic, over redundant of dash panels, rails, and springs, and whole bunch of pop ins. Remember stage gimmicks that should set a certain area apart from another area? Let's not add any desert gimmicks like quicksand in the desert island Ares and instead fill with it with nothing but the same black floating platforms and springs and rails just like every other island. Again, not saying any of these games are bad or there's nothing fun about them because there definitely is, (like the music for example) but they definitely don't feel big budget and feels like they are cutting corners a lot. The fact that Sonic Unleashed still felt like the highest budget Sonic game says a lot.

Project 06 with THESE GRAPHICS would go HARD.

This is truly amazing. I can't believe they're using the same gameplay of Sonic Frontiers for Shadow's Story. I flipped out when I saw Rail Canyon and Kingdom Valley. I need this game Day One.

Chaos control has always been controlling time through space. Remember that time Shadow kicked Silver at the back of the head or the multiplayer on Sonic Adventure 2?

I’m so glad they’re finally actually deep diving into that. Most of us assumed he visited Angel island at some point and learned of the shrine/emeralds because of the cannon’s core in SA2. I’m so happy.

My guess is that extra level in the deluxe edition will be something from Forces. The Shadow campaign seems to take place at the same time as Generations, but they could do something with like the Infinite story as a bonus since that's relevant to Shadow, but canonically happens after this game.
