New Soap vs Old Soap

In a single bar, see the difference between new soap vs old soap. The new soap is freshly made soap and the old soap are soap scraps from previous batches. They are "old" because the scraps were shaved off soap made a while ago.
This soap bar is a good example of the wear and tear/ longevity of soap.

I knew well-cured soap would last longer, but I never thought about how dramatic the difference could be. This is fascinating. You're a great explainer. I don't know if you teach soap-making classes, but if you don't you should.
