The fact that people still fall for trap bases blows my mind. I have a simple rule for myself that has made it so i have never died to a trap base, if the front door is open, its most likely a trap, if the front door is open and you can see "loot" its most definitely a trap and your best bet is to leave and come back with boom, if you are afraid to online use the front door as an indicator to tell if they are online or off if you dont know their name, if its open then they are most likely on unless they forgot to close before logging off, i raid every trap base i come across because they are typically loaded (if the trap is their main base) and easy to raid. Plus you get a trap base out of it if you wish 😁

I just put a sleeping bag near it and walk in there as a naked and 60% of the time it works every time

Haha has some salty plebs raided my trap base yet I transferred everything to my fortified main base. Not only did they lose all their items they wasted material raiding an almost empty base 😂. For extra saltiness I will be honeycombing it

Add a memory cell that you can reset with a switch. That way the the PP closes the door It'll stay closed until you reset.

@@stelicRUST the Plate makes an output. I'm pretty sure the switch would need electricity but you can use a second cell and plate to make the reset (a toggle latch) to keep it electricity free

@@stelicRUST I just checked and the memory cell use 1 power and the Plate only outputs 1 power so I don't think this would work unfortunately 😕

I've tinkered with small battery and the memory cell to do what you ask, the base can do it but it's very annoying and means you have to reset every kill You can hide solar panels with half walls on top but the base instantly looks weird/too high and people get suss on it

10 mins after making this base I had some dude camping out side the door I can see his foot, I opened both doors and he jumped in so fast after killing me lol

@@Hastyhashandothers ya he killed me jumped in to loot me and got killed well the door shut behind him so his team mate could not loot his body. I use this one alot now for how cheap it is to make and place all over. Biggest problem is when ppl get mad and come back and toss Molatov cocktails in the door lol

i make this trap before seeing this vid, but ive improved on it alot more than this video. i create an unlootable TC and large box if either is destroyed and a secret sleeping bag, i leave the 2nd room open too and have a hidden gunshot trap there for when they jump on the furnaces

I lost it when you placed the frame wrong toward the end and had to play it cool

Do you need electricity going into the pressure plate?

Players go in, but i cant find any loot or a body? Do they vanish after some time?

Fuck the trap I honestly love the design as a starter base, I’d leave them all lower foundations to add a drop down core or something but I like alot

Well this base can be used as a starter anyway, with the trap being an additional option

I've used this trapbase. 1 problem: if they simply go straight towards the right and stand on top of the furnace they can drain them without dying.

This mays well have "I'm a trap base written on it"

What the PP doing? just opening door ? or closing it - im confused as i would htink if paired it will open the door no? So they come in stand on plate and that would then open door? would they not maybe escape or is it somehow closing the door when they stand on PP? Im confused. How to you get the plate to close the door standing on it rather than open it? Do you just connect it when the door open to press and close or - how it work ?

You have to leave the door open, so the controller closes it when someone gets trapped. They won't be able to get out as they will be killed immediately by the gun trap. And when installing the controller, it makes no difference whether the door is open or not, the main thing is to remove the lock from it. I think I've explained everything🙃

I’d use a heatbeat sensor instead of pressure pad or even a hidden laser behind a workbench to trigger the door closing, you could also use a flamethrower so people dont hear shotgun traps go off

@@barry3917both of those won’t be better. One needs electricity and the other I don’t think you will hit them with flame turret and they can hear it outside too 😅

Better not use a door skin or I’ll know right away it’s a trap

Tried this, after getting a few prim kids, guy that got killed immediately came back with 2c4 and foundation raided me
