I have been messing with a busy jazzy ride cymbal track with it, and I agree it is like a channel strip, the gate works with the jazz cymbal, allows the stick sound to poke out. Like most plugins of this nature, you can achieve the same results elsewhere, but there is something about this one I think I will use outside of mixing vocals. Piano comes to mind.

There seems to be similarities to the Vitamin plugin from Waves. I do think I will try and get a good sound on a track, then A-B with the Silk to see what happens. So many options now, that I find I go with Pultecs and Fairchilds and basic eq first, then see what these fancy things have to offer. I guess one has to be careful if these new plugins will sum into an over-compressed feel on the master buss, but on their own they sound great. Either way a good work out for the ears. @@thejawshop-AdventureRecording I just used it on some vocals this morning as the first plugin on the chain, no compression just letting it remove whatever frequencies it likes...for now I've left it on and we'll see how the rest of the song plays out 🤷🏻‍♂

Hi, I got this when it was free, however it seems to have changed to 'demo' mode (during last week) - anyone have this issue? Or know how to correct it? Thanks in advance
