A lot of people keep saying the OEL signing makes no sense etc. but I believe they'll be proven wrong. It'll give them additional offence with Reilly in the back end and OEL had a great year last season.

I can’t believe how much hype people are putting behind Stolarz. We’ve gone down this road before with Jack Campbell. Never played more than a back up roll. Sign here, get exposure, sign somewhere else and that team finds out he’s not the guy. Can’t see him being the guy here.

They haven't done anything to improve the team. Goal tenders are a big question mark considering Woll is always hurt. The D men are old and slow, so no improvement over last year. How does the leafs head office still have job.

@@johnsummerhill8323 I wouldn't pay him anything. My piggy bank is running on empty. Leafs shouldn't pay him either. But if he was willing to do a sign a trade they could give him more term than other teams could is my understanding. Not positive on that, but that is my understanding. I believe they could sign him to an extension for 7 or 8 years somewhere in the 85-100 million range and Utah would have their franchise star locked up. He could get a lot of endorsements in the Utah area for that previously untapped market which might appeal to him. Plus he would play a lot and have very little media pressure on him compared to Toronto.

@@nerrawnarco5632This is a player that does not want to be traded. So why would he even consider waiving his NMC ? Especially if there is no compensation for waiving it. This has nothing to do with a new contract. The player has the control and if a team wants the player to waive the NMC, then no player should waive it that is in his situation without compensation.
