I didn’t know about any of these! Wow…I’m a little overwhelmed. But the ones that pull me in the most are the Italian ones that focus on adolescent awakening of desire, which in my own life was corrupted and repressed and so seeing realistic characters experiencing those tender emotions will be something of a catharsis. Actor Kit Young plays Jesper in Shadow and Bone. I made a text note in the video. Maestro is such a binge worthy show contained to the island community. The writers of Class are different. I LOVED the first season. The second season was waay too predictable. But that relationship between Wayland and Jesper is just too damn believable and refreshing. It seems so effortless and yet complicated, and not complicated at the same time. I'd watch a third season just for those two.

I liked Colin Morgan in the series Merlin back in the day (and in Belfast, more recently, playing a villain). Looking forward to Benjamin.

First it is almost criminal that P-Valley wasn't nominated and hasn't won an Emmy. The first season was good but the second season is some of the best television I have ever seen. Characters you don't understand, some you and some you don't like by the end of the season you love them you root for them you understand them and then the Love story between Clifford and and Lil Murder.....next level.

My guy! I LOVE these videos. Ever since I was a kid I wanted to have a vast collection of gay movies and series. I HATED not being represented and now, I am HARD PRESSED to watch a show or movie that doesn't have some form of queer representation. So thank you sooo very much for keeping me up to date. One question you asked was about Colin Morgan. I love him! I first learned of him from the British Series Merlin. One of my great literary loves are stories about Merlin and Colin played the titular character. I adore this series. Another of your questions was about the AIDS representation in media. I have to admit, that I, personally, have had my full. That is not to say that we should stop producing them or forget, NEVER. But growing up, ALL the movies representing gay men were focused on AIDS and HIV and it just painted the community, for me, with this dark hue. There didn't seem to be any balance. For me, gay life is also health and happiness and drug-free and it wasn't always shown like that. This is why my heart just melted when I watched Heartstopper. At each happy turn I was expecting something nasty or evil to happen to break things up, but it just didn't happen, and my heart felt light.

Peridot(2022), AL Berto, Boys on Film 17-20, Drift, the wishmakers, Eat with me, cheeta in August, keep the lights on, Johnathan, rag tag, neverland, like you mean it, and the we danced, as I am, four, and more.. If it's LGBTQ+ I will seek it out and watch. They're like pizza and sex no matter how bad it is, it's still kinda good lol.

@@WriterVicYates there’s a new movie out on there called “love in country” about 2 Vietnam soldiers that fall in love during the war based in 1968 during the don’t ask don’t tell era, where they had to hide it, it’s a very good movie

I loved the show BUT I think the romance was so extremely toxic. I hated how one of the protagonists totally abused all of his love interests and still got the guy in the end.

Thank you for these listings. You do so much work for the rest of us. Ages ago you told us about an Italian series that Is loved, but I can't remember the name. In the opening the central character is killed in a traffic accident and we follow his male lover - and all their friends, only to find out that he has a wife. Do you remember this? Or what the name of it was. Thanks again for doing the legwork for those of us who live gay content!

I love your channel for letting us know series or movies that show the visibility of the LGBTTQ+ community story line but I have to confess that Maestro in Blue and Diaries more than anything, the gay story disappears completely until the last chapter where the other character appears shortly. At the moment they have not exceeded expectations like other series. I'll tell you later after seeing Mare Fuori

A few punctualizations of what you said about “Mare Fuori” (“The Sea Beyond”): - the two actresses interrupted while kissing were actually posing for a commercial: in the series their characters have never dated and, although the red-headed one, Viola, is confirmed to be a lesbian, I can assure you that there’s 0 chance they’ll hook up eventually; - Carmine and Filippo are just best friends, there’s nothing even vaguely romantic between them (I suppose they may look a bit “too passionate” if you’re not used to Italian acting, but I can assure you there’s nothing more than a sincere friendship between them); - many people could find the series disappointing in terms of queer representation because there are only a few openly queer characters and they mostly have little importance or screen time, but it’s important to keep in mind that “Mare Fuori” is an Italian TV series produce by Rai, the biggest streaming company here in Italy which is typically known for producing mid/low quality series with exclusively white, cis-het characters: “Mare Fuori” is (as far as I know) their first product to include more “diverse” characters so it represents a big win for the Italian queer community. With that being said, I hope everyone who reads this comment will give it a shot and watch “Mare Fuori”, because it’s a beautiful series with a well written, compelling story and lovable characters (well, most of them, but you’ll see it!). Last thing last, I apologise for my English and for the errors I may have made while writing, but as you may have deduced I’m Italian and my English is not so fluent as I would like it to be.

I have to say that your English is just about perfect! And far superior to most native English speakers. You have nothing to apologize for my friend.

Please mention whether these are free or for rent. It makes a big deal. A list of suggested movies that come from non mainline servers or that all have to be rented, or that are mostly in foreign languages matters a lot. It’s not just the plot of the movie or whether you like it or not.

Hooray for "Alberto", there's a real man young lead in that too. "Benjamin" with Colin is the only one here that I've seen of these things (was also the only one released on DVD too, which also amazingly happened to "Handsome Devil" which also started off an amazon only for a time). "Benjamin" is a good watch, though I don't see, again, why they had to make Colin chest-shave. Hate to remind you people but, while your minds might only go back as far as Hollywood media allows-not far then-but males begin to get hair on their bodies at puberty (imagine that?) it's one of the things supposed to separate them from the female sex, y'all! & was therefore seen as a necessary & an attractive attribute as opposed to what you all make of it now. Thankfully Colin only seems to have done this for that for unknown (or maybe not unknown?) reasoning, as he's back to his usual self in the amazon series "Mammals". I only found out he was in the Tom Hardy Krays flick "Legend" in 2015, & was so good in it. It's too early to say if I have a fave film with him in as he has not had a fair crack of the whip yet. Colourless nothings like Tom Holland & others go straight into film after film. Colin, far better than this lot, does not get these chances. Fans should check out "Parked" from 2010 & "Waiting For You" from 2017, he stars in both instead of just supporting. Yay! 😃😃😚😚

I AM SO SICK of the US being such prudes when the rest of the world has no issue showing movies or series with large LGBTQ storylines!! I'm glad that Netlfix/Amazon and a few others have little issue showing, but would love to watch SKAM and a few others from EU in english.Sincerely wish the censorship wold get over itself like yesterday

class is an adaptation of elite.. elite is better no doubt but .....class is more suited for indian audience because it has more relatable characters and story....but still, class is a successful remake of elite....very great !!! the gay couple dhruv and faruq has an emotional bond and spoiler- . . . . . . . . .they both don't end up together in season 1 but season two may have another or maybe they'll reunite.....

Oct 4, 2023 The movie Mare Fuori, (or The Sea Beyond), does not show up on NetFlix US, nor on Amazon Prime.

Although "Elite" is my favorite LGBTQ+ series, I don't think I'd be interested in a version in another language because I've already watched the original thrice. However, I may make an exception if I find somewhere to watch all episodes in English. As for the titles you mentioned that I have yet to watch, I am most excited about "The Sea Beyond," "Tomorrow is Ours," and "The Male Gaze." Which one do you like most among the three? Finally, You can't list Colin Morgan's popular works without mentioning "Merlin."

I hope i will find some time to watch this italian series.I watched italian series (with gay characters )before and i liked it .🏳️‍🌈💜⛈

It's always a pleasure to see new videos from you! 😁I'm going to check out most of your recommendations except the ones that are based on "Elite." Anything "Elite-like" is an automatic pass from from me. 😒 And there was nothing about "P-Vally_ that was remotely interesting to me so I'm going to pass. I did watch the first season of "Shadow & Bone" and didn't like the gay representation but I hear it's been expanded in season 2 so I'll give it another watch. Because I enjoyed "Heartstoppers" and "Young Royals," I will give "D4iaries" a look. (Have you mentioned season 2 of "Young Royals?"). I'm going to pass on "Demain Nous Appartient" doesn't sound like my kind of show, especially if they fade the gay representation. I'm really looking forward to finding "Alberto". Like you, I am prepping a book of original poetry and am always interested in the lives of writers, poets, and other artists. I did see "Benjamin" already, I thought it was cute. The two I think you missed are "Smiley," currently on Netflix unless you were the one who suggested it? It tells the story of opposites attract with interesting side characters, all of the side characters are also gay/queer except for one or two. And because I'm a sucker for "Boy Love" stories out of Thailand, I have to suggest "Game Boys: Level-Up Edition" also on Netflix. But I do realize those sorts of films/series/stories aren't everyone's cup of tea. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I mentioned Season 2 of Young Royals when the 4 minute preview dropped on Netflix's KZread channel. I didn't know you were a writer. Good luck on your poetry collection. Are you familiar with Cave Canem? They have a chapbook competition and a poetry retreat. I discussed Smiley in 2 different videos. I'm a huge fan of Carlos Cuevas. Loved him in Someone Has To Die and Merli. I discussed Game Boys in one of my first gay movie reviews. I think you watch more movies than I do. Red, White and Royal Blue comes out soon. I know you will enjoy it ❤❤

It's good to hear they have expanded Jesper's character in season 2 instead of the one hookup he had in the stable with that one random guy who was never seen again.🙄 Did you watch season 2 of "Young Royals?" What a cliffhanger! 🤯 Yes, I am familiar with Cave Canem but didn't know about their competition. I will look into it. Sorry, then it must have been you who alerted me to "Smiley". I almost didn't finish it after the first episode but circled back and ended up binging the whole series. I still don't buy it but its heart was in the right place. I've watched "Game Boys" twice and have seen one of the actors in a more "adult" gay film out of Thailand. It was definitely far more adult and darker with full-frontal male nudity in several scenes 😳 🤣 I am always on the hunt for more gay films/series. I honestly don't watch very much of anything if it doesn't have a gay character that is central to the story. It's why I don't bother with a lot of tv or movies. If there's nothing gay, I'm probably not watching it. Check out that film on Amazon I shared with you, it's about dancers so I think you'll like it.

Well the Shadowhunters has a good storylines. 911 Lone Star And Roswell New Mexico 2019 All these have gay weddings ❤🎉.

I love these Netflix stories, so simple and obvious than everybody can understand the messages : all white men are racist and homophobic, all muslims are nice and tolerant to the gay community, sharia rules are fair for women and gay, and these sharia rules should be implemented in all western countries ... am I right ?
