New Shotgun Company is a Game Changer: Custom-built shotguns are nothing new, but traditionally they come with a price tag so high that they are not feasible for many shooters and hunters. What if we told you you could get a custom Italian shotgun starting at $2,000? Crazy right!? If you have experience with the Upland Gun Company or any other custom-fit shotguns, please let us know on the TFL COMMUNITY! Let's go!

    Good, informative "Show and Tell" video. Clear speech, and good explanations. Apparently from the many negative comments made by many, they do not understand the concept of getting a shotgun properly fitted to your body. I do. My arms are about an inch longer than all the shotgun stocks which I have owned, rented or used. I have to add an extra thick recoil pad to every shotgun so that I can get a good "fit" so the gun becomes an extension of the body and eyes.

    I’m hoping this introduction helps create demand to lower price closer to 12 gauge. Right now it is expensive to feed my 16g coach gun. Not sure why you compare to 20 gauge. My 16g kicks as hard as my 12g with 2.75” shells.

    Forgot to mention the costs of the fitting (3-400 bucks), time, travel, lodging and so on if one isn't close to you. Also, 450-500 for chokes? They need to offer to have the barrels threaded for whatever choke system you prefer or pick something common like beretta/benelli mobil and extended or flush fit. I did a basic build and it still comes out to 2750, plus the costs of fitting and anything else in between. So really the cheapest model is a 3-3.5k gun when it's said and done. If something happens does it go back to RFC in Italy, or do they smith it in house? And only a 1 year warranty? C'mon!

    I can’t speak for the value of RFM’s O/Us against the Brownings and Berettas, but their SxSs offer real value. These are custom made, hand-fit guns made by a small group of craftsmen and craftswomen. Want gun order includes a visit to a fitter to ensure your shotgun is custom tailored to for you. If you’re the shooter who’s out there every week on the sporting clays range, and your gun is a workhorse rather than an heirloom, the silver pigeon or 725 are probably better choices.

    I hate to tell you this, but an American company importing Italian shotguns and finishing them is hardly a Rolls Royce. Now, if they had decided to manufacture the guns from tip to butt and made a good shotgun then we could talk.

  • @kennethgoin628

    @kennethgoin628

    Ай бұрын

    @@jonathonsmith4170 Haha... the word of the day is "extrapolation." It was a simple, exaggerated analogy to demonstrate a point. In no way, was I calling Upland a Rolls Royce, or even suggesting the craftsmanship measures up to that of the legendary auto maker. I'm sure we've both met, or read the comments from these guys, that want a thick, juicy steak for the price of a happy meal, expecting it to give them the filet mignon experience, and gripe like crazy when it doesn't live up to it. That's the point. Some may differ on what the definition of quality is or isn't, and that's the beauty of opinions, but when it comes to price point, it is more commonly true that as the quality of parts and craftsmanship goes up, so does the price. If we, the consumers, want those parts and craftsmanship, we should expect a higher-priced product than what these "affordable" options offer. And if we disagree with that price, there is nothing stopping us from taking our money elsewhere. There is no sense in complaining about it. None. There's always another opportunity. There's always another deal. Either increase the income, be patient, or move on to something else. Great shooting and good times to you!

In a few years, they will disappear when their guns do not sell. Who will take up their warranty? Good luck.

    Nice shotguns but 2000 for a cheap shotgun? I have a Stoeger side by side and it has a hog tusk scar on it. 2000 for a shotgun to hunt skeet and birds I guess is OK if you got extra money just walking fields and ranges but not for a bush gun. Hell hunting hogs on the ground you may have to drop the gun and climb a tree. So 1500 dollars less may not be elegant but sure more effecient.

    I seen guys all my life buy very expensive shotguns from gun shops and then take em home , shoot ‘em ,,only to find out the gun shoots eight inches high and six inches left then sell it for beans not knowing that there is something that could be done to fix the problem,,,therefore this gun company’s idea should relate to a lot of different hunters.
