That didn't happen regardless. Most cops who have perma'd did not give up years of their characters' progression just to softban somebody else. This is more because shootouts with cops are more common than assassinations.

Your mentality is wrong, crims should not shoot cops or civs if they cannot handle serious consequences for the character. It is not screwing people over, it is only a tool to put tension into RP. The only issue is that jail is too boring, should put things in jail to make it more fun to be in jail as you can RP more in jail with lifers and DOC. Make it feel less like an OOC punishment. Like a jail heist where you can break into DOC office and steal items you need for another heist on the outside maybe even put in some ways to break out of jail, Put in gambling like poker, arcade with racing / shooting, stuff like that.

It's the difference between you hunting down a cop and killing them vs a bunch of cops coming for your group and a shootout breaking out. If you want to rp really trying to kill a cop, it's undeniable in the above but if cops are chasing you, shoot at you, you shoot back and the other player perma's, you essentially have no control over your character's life. It'd be like if crims could perma to permanently remove pd characters from play/ kill them

James Randall murdered 5 people in one scene. Imagine they had been cops. That's 15 day vacation lmao. Again I'm just pointing out that it "could" be abused. I don't think some people realize that the server relies on crims in action. Choosing to cater to cops and more consequences over crims doesn't keep the server alive. It should cater to the people that have the role of initiating and creating. Say if you cater to cops, Cops become more OP and crims spend more time in jail. That's going to discouraged crims from playing and then cops have barely anyone to police, and their existence would be pointless in a crim-less city. The ones that's initiating the action on the server shouldn't be discouraged. People bring up that it raise the stakes, but it won't when things have become too stale and familiar. People see the same people everyday for hours. It hard to achieve that with how familiar everything and everyone. You need some unfamiliarity for it to work successful (that why it worked at the beginning) but at this point, that will only make people more annoyed and frustrated with each other.

This 100% true there is proof of this as well when bunny was mayor the city was so boring that the crims left first because heists were on hiatus while the devs were reworking them and there was only racing and boosting which racing is borderline toxic with all the cringe racing crews and boosting is only fun the first few times. After the crims left the cops got bored cause they had nothing to do more often then not so they left as well only few people from certain gangs stayed and very few cops stayed. Pretty much direct proof that without crims there is no server worth getting onto, obviously the admins don't take that into account cause they're all biased cop mains except Yeager he's the only crim admin

I very much disagree that ping content is good for the server. The number 1 reason for the decline of 3.0 is the decline of civs. They are the life blood and main source of server health. BTW your wrong about pd needing cops all the best cop rp is cop vs cop and interacting with crims isva sacrifice on the pds part.

Theres a lot of pros and cons to both sides of this, but personally i think this rule is ridiculous. Most cops wont perma and extremely rarely is it an ooc hatred. At the same time a cop dying in a “ping” scenario should be less time than a true rp execution.

I think everyone should be limited to 1 Cop character, 1 gang-affiliated crim, and unlimited civvies/unaffiliated crims. Doesn't make sense to limit one particular group of players from making a second character.

That's already a rule. Cops are only allowed to have 1 cop character "hired" at a time. The key word is hired. So it doesn't really stops from people making a new cop character after they perma their current cop character.

if they want more consecuenses for crims they can ask for increased fines but they want streamer punishment thats why ask for more days on prison

I know know why viewers even care about this. I perma'd 2 characters to cops and both times it was ruled "accidental killing performed during officer's duty". No one bitched or complained. No one should really care the consequences of a fictional character unless you are directly involved.

Now the people involved in going to prison, I can see effecting and understand they have problems going to jail for 10 days. It is THEIR content that is being messed with. But views? Nah. Not that big of a deal. IMO. (no disrespect intended btw)

Extenuating circumstances are always considered in sentencing. If crims are forced into a shooting scenario, a cop choosing to perma from a stray bullet is a lot of added time for very little rp. It makes sense to alter the sentence for that.
