It’s a really nice watch, I’ll be sure to look for it when I’m in Japan. I’d like to compare it with the black dial though, the white is nice but seems like it will be harder to read the watch. Thanks for the video! 👍

Really cool video. This watch is superb, reserved only for the Japanese market, not for export. Unlike the 2 other JDM versions that we can see on Rakuten for example. The landscapes in the introduction are superb, Japan is a beautiful country. Friendships from France. 🇨🇵👋👍

I just purchased this from a seller in Japan. Just arrived today. Beautiful watch.

These just dropped on 1/12/24 in Japan. Sapphire for the front and back and a screw down crown and this would blow the market away. That said, I did order one from a Japanese retailer and should be here to me in the US in a week or so.

its like a budget very of a Seiko PROSPEX Alpinist GMT - 110th Anniversary or a rolex explorer 2

Saw the black one but the white is so much better!

This is the first time ive ever preferred the white dial over the black in any watch. Looks smashing on you at the end there, enjoy 👌

I wonder if that bezel could pop off and be replaced with a silver 24h directional bezel. I assume this watch is the same case, crystal etc as the diver style gmt that they make.

The 7 years is from Nanaple, my favorite online retailer of Seiko. Got all my preordered Seikos from them.

You know what I don't like about the watch? The polished numerals. I have a Bremont Solo with polished numerals and they change color when I move my wrist. I find that annoying. When I look at the watch I want it to be the same, not always different.. Maybe I have to get used to it, but I'm considering giving it away just for that reason..

How's the endlinks, are they hollow or solid?

I'm in the U.S., so I'm out of luck. This looks exactly like what I've been wanting. I hope they export something similar to the States.

Gutted you can only get the black and stainless steel versions of this watch outside of Japan. The watch is nice, but the white face is really special. Will keep my eye out to see if Sekio change their minds.

Another big hit , and another big scratch especially on the hardlex crystal. good looking watch though, shame seiko dont do sapphire at this price point.

I want Seiko atleast give applied screen guard on the crystal and one more extra for replacement.

I will one day buy a Seiko 5 there nice watches .I prefer the Prospex Diver Series, the same price range £400 - £450 .IF I had the Money I would buy a Grand Seiko over a Rolex

Is it possible to mod the movement by adding a date wheel? Then it would be perfect, along with a white day date dial

Nice looking watch. Huge disappointment it comes with a hardlex crystal. Maybe $40 more to have a sapphire. But modifying this to sapphire would be $200. So dumb. Be careful, hardlex scratches when it brushes against fabric.

As i type this comment ilook ad the watch on my wrist. Yep, just same but with no inner numbers...................and with my own logo on the dial

Amazon and other online sellers here in Japan, like yahoo and rakuten.

Seiko ruins these otherwise nice watches by making the dials too busy. If they got rid of the inner 13-24 markers, the 5 logo and the GMT text, this would be a classy timepiece worth considering.

It is Japan Domestic Market. It is like sony, if you buy a camera in Japan, the language is only in Japanese because it is only for domestic consumers, just like these watches.

So , is it a form of ‘Goodwill’ to their local customers , even though the sales/ROI on creating a separate SKU will surely be WORSE by limiting it as such? At the end of the day, it is arriving at a Business decision, and I guess we are just wondering how they arrived at that decision .

Vist Nakano, watch heaven in Tokyo. A building where the biggest name in used watches are located. They all have stores in rakuten, so you might wanna try searching there first so will you know which stores to visit... or just visit them all. Warning, temptation is strong in that place... lol.

Seiko-Lex Polar 1 !?!? I can envision these dials and handsets being modded to the Explorer II in the near future ( along with the Black Dial too ) . …..❤. 🫵
