I remember watching it as it released and hearing it be changed was worrying, but after we saw it, it looked so good! The colors are a bit more muted for sure, but it has such a certain and nice vibe!

the one thing that change in season 2 that i notice first was how Hachiman voice is more calmer and in low volume. like a man that is calm and controlled

Hachiman believes nobody loves him and he is destined to be hated. He doesn't even expect Yui or Yuki as his friends. He thinks he is all alone, so he can sacrifice himself to help others. This is the reason Hachiman said the bitter truth about Sagami on her face in front of everyone. As he doesn't even care if people hate him for that, he even said that being hated is his fundamental right.

I dont know about that...Hachiman 100% knows that Yui tries to be friendly and knows exactly what goes through her head at any given time. He can read people like Yui so perfectly, it is not even funny and this is obvious even in this episode where he tries to set boundaries. You could say that he hates himself, then again he is a borderline narcissist and very fond of himself at times imo. As for the "sacrifice myself to help others", Hachiman doesnt view his actions as "sacrifice" and he doesnt do it because he is noble. He always has some personal motivation whenever he pulls this act. With the Sagami thing, he could have easily solved it without any drama because he is a master manipulator. But he didnt want to solve it in a nice way. His issue is that he has grown a bit too comfortable in his views and status quo and he dislikes change and is unable or unwilling to maintain healthy relationships.

Also from the fact that hachiman said things about sagami some people inferred that he did it for yukino.

Music in the background where they are walking together at night is the exclusive theme song of Yukino and Hachiman. It plays throughout the series when they're alone together.

The ramen scene isn't the first time. They cut the scene in summer where hachiman gets ramen with the teacher. They effectively became ramen buddies with her promising to get ramen again after he graduates.

When I watched Oregairu for the first time, I was so shocked by the animation change. It’s amazing! Excited to see your reactions to S2 and 3!

I ran into Porter Robinson in the JW Marriott during Anime Expo 2015. This was when his brother Nick was running crunchyroll and performed a concert for crunchyroll at LA live that weekend. I asked what he was keeping up with that season in anime and he was really into oregairu and we chatted about the series for a cool while. I go to the concert and he remixes the season 2 OP Harumodoki with one of his songs Divinity, and that made my weekend

Overall, I love this second season. There are a lot of visual details, the new soundtrack, and a lot of character interactions that I didn't expect as a first-time viewer... THAT payoff too (8), is hype.

Later on this series, Yukinoshita Yukino tells Hikigaya Hachiman a dialogue: ね ひきがや-くん, いつか わたし を たすけて ね [Romaji: Ne Hikigaya-kun, Itsuka watashi wo tasukete ne; English Translation: Say Hikigaya, Save me someday.]. This dialogue will become one of the turning point of their relationship later on. It is also one of my favourite dialogues in this series as well.

I can't believe how inaccurate some of these translations are, they lack nuance, some of the jokes are badly translated and the word usage is weird as well. Free subtitles are usually better since they're done by passionate fans, but I understand you wanting to support the creators.

Season 2 fuked the story if anything Lmao They messed up most of it.

The absolute worst thing about Hachiman's character that I have noticed is that he was never willing to do the things he demands from others. All the while monologuing from his high horse that doesn't even exist.

I mean there's some point when Hachiman lying too and became the fake person that he hate the most but in the end he was realize and completely changed because he knows to be able to fix all theirs problem is to become real and genuine to each other
